I'm a little bothered that they charge $2 for laundry soap and the room wasn't quite ready when we checked in. They are 10 miles from Bend where you need to go for restaurants and shopping. There is a grocery store on site and a small village.

Always a relaxing place to visit. Quiet in October if that is what you wsnt. Within 1-2 hours of Crater Lake which is worth seeing as well. The High Desert Museum is several miles on route 97 going towards Bend. We were able to spend several enjoyable hours there. Our condo was right on the walking/bicycle path.
