Original Review from 6 months ago below this updated one. This review from 11/27/19*
Family of 4 including 1 child. Arrived at 7pm on Thanksgiving Day. Wait time: less than 10 minutes. For one of our group, this was their very first time at Cracker Barrel.
Pros: All the people I interacted with were polite, including other patrons. The food was decent, and our server was nice.
Cons: The store itself was very dirty. Our hostess seemed lost, and didn't explain the process of adding our name to the list. Our server didn't tell us that there was no sausage gravy until after I asked once our order arrived - THIS IS LIKE THE WHOLE REASON I COME TO CRACKER BARREL!! A heads up when I originally ordered would have been nice! Our order arrived in disorganized waves. We were missing one item, grits, and my good morning breakfast came with bacon instead of turkey sausage. When I asked the server, she said "I was going to come ask you, but I saw everyone else had bacon and just assumed that's what you wanted." đ˛đ˛ The menu clearly states that the breakfast includes two turkey sausage and doesn't even give the option for bacon. Furthermore, we were a few short feet from the kitchen. I never got offered a refill on my tea, despite it being a bottomless option, while my family members got tons of refills on their overly sweet raspberry lemonades.
All in all, it wasn't the worst experience, but it had the potential to be so much better, especially with a first time patron in our group. I was disappointed in this location, particularly when contrasting my first visit. When I take the rest of my family, I may go to a different location.
From June 2019
The food is delicious and the service from the hostess and servers are amazing. Samantha took very good care of us in my daughter's birthday, even getting her a special treat for her occasion!
The managers, however, could use some diversity training. The bald man with glasses, whose name I unfortunately did not get, was absolutely awful. He stared me and my daughter down upon arrival, and when he stopped by our table to "check" on us, he just stared and gave an unwelcoming vibe and quickly walked away. We live in Gwinnett county, been here 25 years+ now; get used to us black folk, we're not going anywhere!
Otherwise, this location is very clean, very filling, and the general store is fun to peruse. After you eat, have a seat in one of their rocking chairs out front and just relax for a bit. You...
Read moreHello everyone. I am leaving this review here with the hopes that this place goes under. I cannot express to anyone that is hungry to not go here. We traveled here the beginning of August for reasons that will not be explained, and our hotel was across the street. Us being hungry and seeing a place we knew from back home in CO we thought that it would be like the one from home. The best way to describe our experience is that in short it was pathetic. I wouldâve gladly taken a pancake that was cooked by your local crackhead and served on his hand, then ANY of the food that was brought to us. You can only take me for my word since I do not have the photo evidence, but the slice of ham that I had on my plate was undercooked. Looked so raw that I thought it was still alive on my plate. On top of that, our server was mad rude to us. Her name was like Allison, or something dumb like that. She had blonde hair, kinda chunky around the face. Youâll know her if you see her. And if you see her serving you, do yourself a favor and get up and leave. Had an attitude in the beginning and we had done nothing wrong. This was also our first stop in Atlanta might I just add. Once we explained we were out of state, she kinda switched up and started acting nice. Came by like 3 times to show us places which I guess was cool, but we didnât wanna hear her after the beginning. What a rude server is the general consensus my party and I had. And the reasoning she gave for our food taking forever was âweâre training someone in the backâ. All of our food was not up to par with anything. Cold eggs somehow, uncooked ham, soggy French toast, and watered down coffee, and this disgusting hash-brown casserole were part of the reasons we hate Atlanta now. To anyone visiting from out of state, let me extend the hand that I did not have and tell you. DO NOT go here. In the name of all that is holy please do not for the love of God go here. I pray that this place does not see another patron enter its doors. This place is not good. If I was from Atlanta, I would gladly boycott outside this place and either make you breakfast myself for you, or pay you money to go elsewhere. But sadly Iâm not and thank god Iâm not. All I can do is do the public service and leave this review here. And to the management that sees this, Screw you! 2 Middle fingers from the Rocky Mountains! Donât come visit my state with your disgusting...
Read moreGOT HUNG UP ON THE PHONE MID-SENTENCE WHILE HAVING A CONVERSATION ABOUT A DELIVERY ORDER THAT THEY MESSED UP ON FROM A LADY NAMED NICOLE AT THE SUWANEE LOCATION. I am writing this review with so much disappointment. I had placed an online order through Cracker Barrel website for delivery. When my order arrived, the kids meal was incorrect, and I was also missing an item. I contacted Cracker Barrel store, and spoke with Samantha. She was very nice, and professional about the situation. She offered to put me on the list for the next visit to have a free meal, but I declined and told her I will speak to DoorDash since it was a third party delivery that handled the refunds, and reorders. I contacted DoorDash, and they told me they were unable to refund me the amount because the payment had went through Cracker Barrel itâs self. The DoorDash representative did try to have the order redelivered but the person who the DoorDash representative had spoken to over the phone with Cracker Barrel told them that they were not able to remake the order. The DoorDash representative told me to contact Cracker Barrel again to see what they could do because they werenât able to accomplish anything due to Cracker Barrel. I called Cracker Barrel again and spoke to a lady named Nicole. From the beginning this lady seemed very irritated and had an aggressive tone while explaining to me that her hands are tied, and that there is nothing that she could do to help, due to the fact that they just only prepare the food. It was a one sided conversation, and she seemed like she did not want to hear anything I had to say. All I was trying to do is explain to her on what the door dash representative had told me. During our conversation I had to tell her that there is no need to get hostile. All I wanted to do was figure out how to resolve the issue but instead she hung up the phone on me while I was in mid-sentence. I was very hurt and upset that someone could treat and handle a situation so poorly. A simple problem that could have been resolved easily she decided to escalate. I am very disappointed in this ladyâs behavior. Very poor representation for...
