Petite Left Bank — Restaurant in Tiburon

We had our rehearsal dinner at Petite Left Bank this past month and WOW...that was the best decision we could have made. They were easy to work with and went above and beyond during our event.

We weren't planning on doing any big decorations for our rehearsal, since all of that effort went into the wedding, but we walked in and there were tablecloths and flowers on each table, which elevated the already-gorgeous restaurant setting.

Throughout the evening, the staff was so kind and helpful to not only us, but all of our guests. And the event and general managers were also great people who really set the tone for us to have an amazing experience. If I could rate the service 10 out of 5 stars I would.

The food as well was even better than expected. Of course at a nice restaurant you hope the food will be great, but I actually liked the food better here than at our wedding.

Lastly, I also want to note that we had visited for happy hour during regular hours about a month before our event to try some of the drinks. Even then, without knowing we had booked an event there, our waiter delivered the same top quality service and kindness.

Needless to say, we're huge fans now, and we will be popping over to visit from SF any...

I was so sad last night, we took my husband for a birthday celebration and was so let down. We went specifically because of Bastille weekend and not much was happening - yet

It was crowded and the atmosphere was great but the food and drinks not so much. I ordered a Bastille day special and it was not good very watered down and the egg white was flat- my husband ordered a gin and tonic and nothing gin about it- mostly tonic- so don't order cocktails here-

The food came and steak frites came for myself - the salad was wonderful but the steak under seasoned and not worth ordering- how do you go wrong with a classic?

The escargot was also not seasoned well. I usually order 2 of these in places that can make them. So disappointed - didn't finish them at all-

Now the Beef bergenion was worth it. That they actually have down pat! If your going to go just have that! Order 2-Yum!!! My daughter ordered the lobster roll and said it was delicious -

So it's a little inconsistent and if your going for a celebration I would pass- maybe it was the cook that night? Who knows - we were so disappointed we didn't do dessert there-

The service was excellent however - the food not so much- too inconsistent - definitely...

We truly, really thought we'd miss our treasured "New Morning Cafe" which occupied the historic building that was here before they rehabbed and updated the building and spot. BUT NOPE... Petit Left Bank is the single greatest addition to Tiburon in the last 10 years, and fills in, and checks off, so many desperately needed things for our community: INCREDIBLY tasty.. check. Our favorite menu of french classics that are both approachable, and for Tiburon won't break the bank vs other options... check. THE BEST STAFF ALL OF YOU, especially the barkeep turned manager, and the sense of real community and comradery, acting like a real family working towards a common goal... check. THE BEST drinks... check. Casual enough to walk-in at the last minute and almost always find a corner at the bar or a table...check. The BEST service in general, vs all the misses at other spots... check. It's our go to, our happy place, and beyond loving the food and drinks, we sort of feel like this is a genuine "Norm" spot from Cheers, and it's like we're seeing friends and family that have welcomed us in.
