Large part of the parking lot blocked off. Ok, fine. Dangerous having to walk through the drive through to get in. Nearest door was also the location of the end of the line which was out the door, ok, fine. After ten minutes of waiting on the line a table opened up, I sat down to do the mobile order. Mobile ordering was not working. Reset app etc. Not working. At that time, a total of 17 minutes here, the manager made a fairly low spoken announcement that they're doing their best etc. it's busy. Ok, fine. I asked the manager if mobile ordering was working he said it was down. I said yeah it appears that way, I only found out when I left the line halfway through and grabbed a table to order. He didn't do the right thing. He should have taken my order on the spot. Instead, he just started speaking to someone he recognized. This one is hard to write. I noticed VERY specific segregation of employees working outside v.s. inside. Granted, I did not make it to the front counter, it was concerning to see 6 employees inside of a specific tone of skin and outside another group of 6+ employees of another specific tone of skin. This was a 20 minute snapshot in time but it seemed extremely targeted for grand opening optics. It doesn't matter to me which tone of skin was in either spot. It's not ok.
This was the most difficult review I've ever left (I'm a local guide on Google). I hope I get the opportunity to change it. I knew it would be hectic there during the grand opening. That has nothing to do...
Read moreI was very excited to know a Chick-fil-A was coming to town, as I always traveled to the one in Port Jefferson. I’ve always raved about how I receive fresh food and great customer service at Chick-fil-A, so I didn’t expect a bad experience at this new location. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
During my first visit, I spent over $80 on food for my family. The food was cold, the order was made wrong, and to top it off, there was no number listed for the store, so I couldn’t address the issue immediately. Despite this, I decided to give it another chance and went back for breakfast today, hoping for a better experience.
However, this visit was even more frustrating. I waited in line longer than I have ever waited at a Chick-fil-A. I ordered a SEC biscuit meal and a 4-count chicken mini, but was given muffins instead. This mistake caused further delays as I had to return the incorrect items. Additionally, I noticed a customer behind me had their order bagged and ready but had to wait while my issue was being resolved.
When I finally received my order, the chicken minis were dry and cold, and someone had forgotten to put the butter on top. Overall, this experience was very disappointing, and I feel that I should be compensated for my meals given the amount of money I spent. The management and service at this location need significant...
Read moreIt’s so hard to write this review because I love the Port Jefferson Station location so I expected this to be the same but it is not! The parking lot is very small and last few times I went, they had parking spots blocked off so I parked across the lot. I also ordered via the app but still waited about 25 minutes for the food…once received the chicken was a bit crispy but not in a good way! My son ended up throwing it out ☹️ perhaps they need more time to adjust to the demand so for now I will continue to go further to PJS location as they are always on point!
As a side note: many businesses expand too much and the products quality suffers, this is an example of how profit can hinder quality and affect their brand. Let’s hope the upcoming Selden location doesn’t disappoint 😵💫
Updated June 29th, since initial visit to now the staff here has gotten a better hang of things and they are doing well with orders and time management! I am so glad as my son is a huge fan and we visit 2-3 times a week for his veey unique diet. Glad to see the team...
