My wife and I recently stayed there for a couple of months as we were there for my job. We travel the United States for my job. My wife started complaining of breathing problems and feeling dizzy after being there for a little over 3 weeks. I had taken her to the hospital once to get checked out and they gave her an inhaler. However 4 Weeks later she was still having breathing problems and dizziness. We started looking around the room and we noticed that there were black spots on the ceiling. We sit on the bed to get a closer look and realized it was mold growing on the ceiling!!! There was so much mold growing around the bathtub as well. I had to take her back to the hospital and they gave her antibiotics and another inhaler. We informed the manager at the front desk what was going on and told him that we would like some kind of refund of some sorts. He told us that it doesn't work like that and that we would not be getting any money back nor would they be paying for my wife's hospital bills!!! There was a neighbor that was staying next to us and he informed us that he had to switch rooms due to mold. he said he had left to visit home for a couple of days and when he came back there was mold all over his new shoes all over his clothes all over all of his belongings!! All of the staff was very nice the entire time until we went to them to complain about the mold and asked to be compensated for it. I called a couple days later to inquire about a package delivery, which I was told is not a problem. Then I called again during my travel to inform them that I am on my way but running a couple hours late, which again they said is no problem. HOWEVER!!! When I arrived, they informed me that they gave my room to someone else!!!!! And they said they would give me a lesser room, on a different floor, and that they would not charge me anything extra!!!! WHAT?!?!? I told him that he should be giving me a REDUCED RATE!! But he wouldn’t. Since there were no other hotel rooms available in that area, because of the local fair of some kind, I had no recourse. So I contacted BOOKING.COM to complain, and they wouldn’t even respond to my complaint!!! So in effect, I paid a lot of money for a cheap little hotel room, in the middle of nowhere New York, where there is little to no integrity!! And the huge company called BOOKING.COM doesn’t care about their customers enough to even reply to a complaint about one of their sponsored hotels!! Well, I guess I should go back to EXPEDIA.COM!!!
