Let's face it first of all - Sleep Number beds are not cheap. They are a huge investment. So if you want or need one, you are committing right off the bat to an expensive purchase. That's why it's important to have the best buying experience you can get, so you feel you are getting the most value for your hard-earned money, and are valued as a customer. With that in mind, our experience with Marc at the Melville store was terrific. Not once did we feel rushed, or that we were taking up too much of his time as we tried bed after bed, and setting after setting. He was knowledgable about the beds, and with our budget in mind, let us know what combinations of frame and mattress would be best, also considering current promotions. I know, sounds like any good salesman would do that, right? But what's important is that it didn't FEEL like it was about the sale, it felt like it was about making sure we were pleased, and that makes all the difference. And then, after we found the bed we loved (and I mean LOVED, which is a whole different review) and made our purchase, Marc's followup with us made us appreciate that we were not forgotten once the papers were signed. Sleep number gives me and my husband the best sleep ever. I like it plush, him firm. Shopping at the Sleep Number store in Melville, NY was one of the best experiences I've had shopping for a mattress (or for that matter any type of furniture item). There was no pressure, they demonstrated how the mattress works and how to get my personal sleep number, what the exchange policy was, and most of all the customer service was exceptional. Tim and his team - Mary Jane and Jonathon - were so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The product is great. I am very happy with it.

My only complaint was i didnt want to spend the money for top tier and the sales lady while super nice and overall professional didnt really take into account my budget.

I am a salea person so i get it, making the sale is paramount. But she took my info and mispelled my name instead of trying to elimate or identify the reason behund me nkt buying at that moment.

Just a helpful hint a sale on a $1500 bed is better than pushing for a $10000 bed i would never buy.
