Where to begin? I booked a room block months in advance for my wedding. Let me state for the record that i was NOT a bridezilla. My planning process was pretty stress free and easy, i felt pretty lucky. However, early on i was irritated by communication. It often took a long time for me to get a reply for any questions I had but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Then two days before my wedding, I called to let the staff know that even though I reserved the suite from Friday to Sunday I would not be actually checking in until early Saturday morning. The person I spoke to assured me that this wouldn't be a problem and made a note on my reservation. No big deal right? Wrong. The day of the wedding, my bridal party and I pull up expecting to get into the room to start hair and makeup, I go to check in and am told my suite is unavailable and I was marked as a no show. I explained that I called ahead to avoid this. I even showed her my confirmation and told her when and what time i called that week. Where was I supposed to get 9 women ready for a wedding?! She continued to insist that there was no suite available and I began to get upset. Then I was condescendingly told that I "needed to JUST calm down" and it was followed by a gesture treating me as if I was a toddler. So naturally I didn't calm down, I got angry. Luckily my maid of honor and mother walked in right at that moment and took over for me. The woman proceeded to argue with both of them and then realized SHE made a mistake and my suite was available all along! My mom asked to see the manager...who was the second woman at the desk who stood by saying nothing this whole time! Needless to say the day started out as a huge mess to the point where a random woman staying at the hotel offered us her room if they couldn't fix the issue. On top of it, my parents were allowed to check in...and when they went to unlock the door...it was someone else's room until Sunday! My in laws checked in that friday at normal check in time and found a worker sitting on the bed watching tv. I would NOT stay here again sheerly for the way we were treated. Also, I'd give 5 stars for the bath tub for one of my guests. Not because they used it, but the man who they walked in on using it seemed...
Read moreLocated off a business busy road that goes one way. You have to go to several lights to cross to the other side. This is true for all businesses on this road. Clean rooms, updated. Wallpaper shower, lighting, bedding, curtains, Mini fridge, and microwave. The bed was okay both sides felt worn down. I had a king bed so sleeping in the middle was fine. When you check in they have you drive to an outside door near your room to get to your room. I didn't really like this it didn't feel all that comfortable to me. I do think it was the easiest way to get to the room. I think this is just a weird setup for a hotel. It is shaped like a U. Finding your way to the lobby is like being in a maze if you are not on the same floor as the lobby. They have food for sale a yogurt parfait was almost $10 which I thought was kind of ridiculous. My room had an empty body wash, the phone had no numbers to call the front desk. I had to Google the phone number. The front desk brought some up. Then I got in the shower and realized there was no conditioner. The shower had good water pressure but the drain was a bit clogged. Trash cans had no bags which I thought was strange. The room was also missing a luggage rack. The Internet seemed slow and would disconnect every time my phone locked. They had an offer for you to pay for the internet. I am a Platinum card holder. I should never have to pay for good Internet considering how much I pay to have a Marriott card and how much I spent every year at Marriott properties. I never experienced that at any other Marriott. The hotel staff was...
Read moreWhen we entered our room, we found that the TV had a visibly smashed screen. As if someone had thrown something at it. We immediately notified the front desk, who seemed like they'd known about the issue and placed us in a new room. While their speed to give us a new room was appreciated, it was confusing as to why they would knowingly place us in a room with damaged property.
We were traveling for a wedding and the amenities were not good for our purpose. There was one thin full-length mirror in the room, no magnifying mirror, and the mirror by the sink was not well lit. The hair dryer was old and dirty. The in-room iron emitted black debris onto our clothes when we used it. In addition, the walls were paper thin... we had no expectation of privacy for conversations we had in the room, as we could hear conversations in the hall and other rooms. The room smelled strongly of industrial cleaner, though the room did not appear to be especially clean.
We returned to to hotel around midnight from the wedding we attended. The bar/starbucks/bistro was not open. Just an FYI for travelers: there is not opportunity to eat or drink late night at this hotel.
Another FYI: this hotel has one elevator and a winding layout - don't bring your luggage into the lobby for check-in. When we checked in, we were told to get back into our car with our luggage and drive around to another entrance to get to our room.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here. It did not hold up to the quality of our usual Courtyard...
