Last time I was there the guy at the register brought to my attention I was buying two different sized shoes saving me a return. Which leads me to returns and check out overall. That's the 3 star rating. I get it, the more time people spend in and around impulse buys the more likely they are to indulge based mostly on line fatigue. You're waiting in the same line for both so just be prepared. . No I don't want to open a Marshalls/TJ's card thanks. Speaking of TJ's, there is one right across the street, it's a HomeGoods one. You will likely see many repeats but not enough that it should deter you. Prices on the same items are also not always in line between the two. Same checkout/return pattern...

Recently I told family members that when I'm cremated, just scatter my ashes in a TJ Maxx Home Goods store--as that is the closest place we have to Heaven here on Earth. As I've also told friends who prefer to shop, paying full price, at upscale stores, they are missing the "thrill of the hunt". Marshalls is the type of place where the hunt is at its best. Not every item in the store is an OMG item, but if you look--you find. It's been my experience, that most items I see enter Marshalls at about 50% off. some even more. When you find a sale (red tag) item, you feel like you are saving 75% off the cost of the fancy stores that carry the same brand or item....
