I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting before arriving here, but this place seemingly exceeding every single thing I would have thought this place would be after my recent visit.
This place is somewhat hidden from the nearest main road, so if you're not intentionally looking, you probably won't just stumble upon it. Honestly if this place sat near a busy main road, it would probably be quite a bit busier all of the time. While we're talking about this place being busy, I recommend getting here as early as possible. That way you're able to pick the perfect spot to set your things, grab some chairs, and hopefully have some shade to escape the sun when needed. It starts to get much busier after lunch time, so that is a thing you may want to keep in mind.
When you arrive you'll find a drop off area (which is convenient if you have a large group, elderly, or disabled folks with you), and a large parking lot. It's very easy to just loop around the drop off area, drop people off, have them wait by the ticket area, and then go and park. The parking lot itself is of good size, so finding a spot shouldn't be a big deal unless it gets really, really packed, but in general, I think you'll be fine.
Once you make your way toward the gate, you'll have to stop by the ticket window to grab your wristbands. I think we maybe waited two minutes before we had one of the helpful, friendly, and attentive employees putting our wristbands on. Once that process is complete you just need to head to the gate, have your bags that aren't clear scoped out, show your wristbands, and you're in. One thing that must be mentioned here is that you cannot bring your own food or drinks (except for water) in the facility. There is an area outside the gate where you can eat whatever you want, and there is a concession area inside where you can buy food and drinks (but we'll get to that in a second).
When you walk in, it may not seem like much, but for my family it was perfect. The place is very modest in size, isn't fancy like one of those behemoth indoor resort parks, and I think that is why we liked it so much. It seems to be much more geared toward young children, and that is what I have, so it worked out perfectly. Lots of shallow water, a splash pad area for really little kids, a few water slides for the bigger kids, and a bit of deeper water for adults or those that really like to swim. There are also sand volleyball courts, and a large playground for kids if they decide they want to take a break from the water.
There are also plenty of places to sunbathe, and set your stuff. I am typically always skeptical leaving things unattended in public places, but I didn't feel there would be much of an issue here, and there wasn't. I'm also not saying you should leave anything of any value unattended at any time (just that I felt comfortable enough to do so when I needed to). There are also lockers available if you want to go that route.
Perhaps one of the best things about this place is the amount of lifeguards and staff they have placed throughout the facility in the event that something unfortunate happens. I felt very confident that my kids and the rest of my family were safe should something happen involving the water or anything else. The staff is professional and friendly and seemingly everywhere. Like I said this place is well staffed, and that is a very good thing.
Another huge plus is just how affordable the concessions are. I was expecting to pay amusement park food prices, and about fell over in excitement when I seen that a slice of pizza was only going to run me three dollars. The pizza is Benito's pizza too, so it's not some freezer burnt grocery store Digiorno you're getting. Everything else is very affordable as well. It was refreshing to see that after paying to get in, we also weren't being price gouged on the food, that you pretty much have to buy if you're going to be there for hours on end with your family.
When all is said and done, I wouldn't hesitate to bring my family back here for some more...

Read moreLong review!! The experience for swimming classes in the center is not the greatest. The staff is friendly but truly don't really know how to help. When I arrived on the first day, trying to figure out where is my daughters class took 10-15 mins. Everyone asked me what is the class code? Even when provided, did not make a difference. When they could have simply looked her up by name instead of making me loop around the whole pool figuring out where is her class! As for my other daughter, the coach sprained his arm (Shane) and can't hold her and she is screaming to get out of the water. I had to run the session for her where I kept encouraging her and putting her back in the water. She was still scared but she was asked by her coach to walk in the water. Granted, I am not a swimming instructor, but I saw that my daughter panicked for that request. I feel that things could have been conducted differently. Especially she missed half of the sessions due to an injury and that was her first time in the latter half. Also, she was with "a stranger " not with family and no floating devices. Based on all of these factors, I feel things could have been conducted differently and in a more friendly and less intimidating way for her. Overall, it was an okay experience. I am unsure if I would repeat it.
Edit on 8/1. I was never contacted from the office despite sending an email as...
