The room was adequate. For our visit, we were to spend the first night in one room (103), and then move to a second unit (106) midday on Saturday to spend our remaining two nights. We were to be contacted by the front desk late morning or around noon to let us know when the unit was ready so we could move our things.
We waited...and waited...and waited. No call came. Mind you, we were tying up our plans waiting on this call to move to the new room. It affected our day's plans since we had to stay close to get our things out of our current unit. Finally, my husband got tired of waiting and around 1 p.m. went to the front desk. They were unaware that we were waiting on a call (the front desk personnel was aware when they checked us in Friday night and apparently never communicated). They assured him that they would call shortly as soon as the unit was ready. He double-checked that they had his cell number correct.
We waited TWO MORE HOURS. No call. So at 3 p.m., he goes back to the desk to find out when the unit would be ready. They informed him that the owner of 106 (the unit we had reservations for) was in town and had decided to stay in the unit until Monday. Ummm...what?? They claimed that the owner had not blocked off that weekend, so they thought the unit was open when they made our reservation. They had known this since around 1:30 p.m. and DID NOT CALL US. So we hung around all day for no reason. The front desk claimed they called my husband's cell and left a voicemail, but he showed them his calls (no calls from them) and played them his voicemail (no voicemail). They had no other units available there so we ended up moving to a different Wyndham resort on the other end of town. Much, much nicer, but still.
When you go on vacation, all you want is for it to not suck. Wyndham and Seychelles did everything in their power to make it suck. So beware...of you make reservations for Seychelles, you may not really have a reservation once you get there, especially if you have the misfortune to book unit 106, whose owner may or may not decide to not block out their time and bump you out of YOUR...

Read moreJust got home from a visit at this resort. Let me just say...nasty! We originally reserved unit 1008. It had grease on the stove, sand on the coffe table, food crumbs on the bar stools, and we killed a bug before switching to the 3rd unit we looked at. Upon calling we had to wait for a call back regarding how they would handle the issue. We were given the option of unit 604. Went to look, smelled horrible walking in the door and food running down the side on the bar in the kitchen. Called back, given the option to "upgrade" to a deluxe room of unit 1005. Walk in the door laminate floor is bucked up and ceiling has water damage, smoke detector laying on the tv, and I couldn't open the balcony door( this continued periodically due to a "vacuum") but otherwise "appeared" clean. Decided damage was better than dirty and took the unit. That night realize shower curtains are pink and black with mold, extra pillows for sofa were disgusting. Next day found underwear in the washer. Moved the rug over in the kitchen to find spilled coffee grounds. My feet were black from the dirty floors. Cable in the living room quit working on night two. The property manager called on day two. Sent the cleaning manager to replace shower curtains. She said, " we've had a very busy season we're going to start deep cleaning earlier because we've been so busy". Umm guests pay $103 cleaning fee for what? Nothing else was offered to us. Because the "upgrade" to the deluxe room with messed up floors and nastiness was our compensation. Upon packing on final day we found a SECOND pair of underwear in the bunk room. Our friends were staying here also and also got "upgraded" but still had issues. We will NEVER stay...
