Thomas Drive Waffle & Omelette House — Restaurant in Florida

Gosh do I begin??? Let me start by saying that there were 2 adults and a toddler in my party, and 2nd were are clearly Mexican. First we arrive and our server is clearly in a bad mood and being rude as can be, and she only gets more upset as my toddler is hungry and screaming while we settle in our booth. Secondly, in an effort to calm my toddler down I'm looking for our server to bring me saltine crackers, we make eye contact and she has the audacity to ignore me, again I keep starting and give her a sign to come to our table and she makes the nastiest face before coming over to us, anyway we get our crackers and he finally calms down until the food is served. Thirdly, the food sucks, like literally, it's not cold but it has no flavor whatsoever. I was already irritated by our servers behavior, especially towards my child, but we finished our meal and as I paid I make a remark about her behavior and all she had to say I'm sorry, have a nice day which still doesn't excuse her in my books. Decided to try this place after living a few blocks away for over a year. We walk in, and the waitress is clearly having a horrible day, and didn't mind letting us know how tired she was. She comes to the table and lays out silverware and rudely asks what well have to drink. She walked away and we just looked at each other with that "god that lady's rude" look. We ordered our breakfast, both having a 3 egg breakfast and adding a meat, and we noticed the food is exactly the same as a waffle house, even the building, only about double the price. The food was good except the city ham they serve is still cold in the middle and just wiped on the dirty grill to add black to it so it looks grilled. The nicest they were to us was when we were leaving out the door, which they were probably just happy to see us go. Oh, our bill was almost $40.00 for three eggs, two meats hasbrowns and OJ for two people. Go to Waffle House. Seriously. Go. To....

We are here on September 3, 2022. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We arrive just before 9am. The food was good, however, as we were eating, a roach crawled across the table towards my plate. I immediately got up and left. My husband paid our tab, they took our two childrens meals off our ticket, even though neither of us could finish eating. The owner told the waitress to tell us they had just sprayed the day before, which I don’t believe. After diving deeper into the reviews and reading all the bad ones. This seems to be an ongoing issue. He was not apologetic at all, though our waitress definitely seemed mortified! We wanted to love it.
