Definitrly only a 2 star hotel! The last 3 times over several months I stayed at these two co-owned hotels their pools at both Springhill & Townplace were closed or not working all 3 times ("bad chemicals, had to shock the pool"). Last visit this week the pool was closed so they offer to use other pool across the parking lot at sister hotel. The Hot tub next door was also down, cold than the pool and jets not working so clearly had been shut off but no closed sign or advised that hot tub was also not working by front desk at Springhill and then front desk who also had to open the door to the pool. If traveling with family who want to use the pool or hot tub, I definitely recommend staying at other hotels as it has been down 100% on the multiple times I have stayed here.
Unfortunately these two co-owned are the only Marriotts in the area so I will be staying at other hotel chains mostly when I travel to Vernal 1-2 times a month as better to forego Marriott Bonvoy points than the very rude service from manager at Springhill Suites on a separate issue that should have been a simple, remedial resolution and Manager Colton wanted to argue whether I was Gold or Platinum status (which ironically I had hit Platinum the day prior to stay) and the reward level was irrelevant to the issue.
Second to last visit had to change rooms as the room was very gross including hairs in the sheets and pillows. So disappointed more in horrible and rude management than the actual issues experienced over...
Read moreI recently had the displeasure of staying at this location for a week for work. Let’s just start off that due to the large amount of oil field workers that stay at this location you can never find a parking spot. You have to park in another hotels parking lot. Then due to the large amount of low level oil field workers that do stay here that have no respect or common courtesy for any of the other guests. The person above me loved to stomp around in his room until 1:30-2:00 in the morning. Then get up at 5 and start stomping around again. Not counting the chemical/oil field smell that is in the hallways and the elevators.
Then if you do decide to check out early due to finding an Airbnb that is much cheaper and nicer this shady hotel with its shady management will charge you a full nights stay even though you are checking out before the checkout time. Yes they have it on your reservation confirmation way down at the bottom of the email in two little sentences. Not counting how rude and unwilling to work with me the hostess and her manger were! If they truly weren’t trying to cheat people they would put a little sign at the front desk because they know no one reads the entire email confirmation.
I guess $140 means more to them and their shady owner than keeping a long time Marriott rewards member and just not being shady or actually thieves. Maybe that $140 will get them a better...
Read moreThe reason for 4 stars: the mattress was as firm as concrete housekeeper gal knocked on our door at 10:10am asking when we were checking out— so we felt rushed to leave.
The gal at the front desk was very inviting, the hallways smelt pleasant and were clean, the room was clean and I felt safe staying there. The location is a little odd, but it was really quiet. The breakfast … let me just say the breakfast was OUTSTANDING!! townplace suites had hot breakfast that was fresh- the BEST breakfast in all of our hotel stay experiences. There was a gal working in the breakfast area too- she stayed on top of all the things and was so kind to us. The hot tub and pool area were very relaxing also. I really liked that there was a little sitting area right outside of the pool house so if you felt too warm you could open the door for fresh air. Despite not sleeping great and feeling rushed to leave- the hotel was really nice. Should we stay there next time we’re in town I’ll ask for a softer mattress and possibly ensure them we won’t stay longer than checkout time at 11am. (That...
