Our toilet seat was broken and slid around the bowl. The showerhead pulled out about 3 inches from the wall so we were unable to control shower pressure. The beds had hairs on the sheet from previous guests. The Friday evening of our stay we needed additional shampoo to meet the needs of our family and the front service desk agent was nowhere to be found. There was a printed sign that said something about helping out a guest and they will return shortly. My husband tried to get shampoo from around 8:30 pm or so, maybe a little later, and I arrived back at the hotel around 11:00 pm. No clerk. I went to the front desk around 11:10 and waited there until 11:40 when the front desk agent returned wearing a long sleeve navy blue Atlanta Braves T-shirt and a pair of jeans with several holes cut in them. He walked in carrying a plate of food that was covered by another plate upside down and seemed to have no regard for the 3-4 guests waiting at the desk. During my time waiting, I along with another guest of the hotel went looking for the clerk. I discovered the staff entrance was open for the desk area and I opened the door thinking that maybe a health issue had arisen. There was nobody back there, and I went and knocked on other employee doors quite loudly thinking maybe they were behind those. I looked in the breakfast area as well as the breakfast for food service area and the clerk was nowhere to be seen. When my turn came to ask for shampoo he quickly searched a drawer in the corner and said heād have to go get some and took my room number down. I asked how long it would be before I would receive the shampoo and he said probably about 20 minutes. I said Iāve already been waiting half an hour and I donāt really want to wait another 20 minutes. He said āSorry for the inconvenience.ā So instead of going to my room, I scooted down to the end of the check-in desk. He essentially asked me to not wait there and go back to my room to which I said I would wait there to make sure that I got my shampoo that I needed. Once all of the other guests needs had been addressed, he looked in four drawers under the desk and said there was no shampoo. My response to him was asking if I could get shampoo from back storage or the housekeeping closet and he said āItās locked. Sorry for the inconvenience.ā So I left and told my husband about what happened, and I was loudly complaining that I was upset I would not be able to shower and wash my hair. The in room phone rang and it was the same front desk clerk saying I would have shampoo but to give him about five minutes. We received what we asked for, but my issue is it should not take me an hour to receive three shampoos and conditioners. I also believe that the clerk went to the baseball game based on the fact that the clothes he was wearing when he perused into the hotel was not the same hotel uniform that he was wearing Saturday morning when we checked out. Itās completely inappropriate to tell guests that asking for something that might be locked up is an inconvenience to them. This interaction with the gentleman was simply the cherry on top of the other issues that we had and we will never be staying at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreApt complex lost water and heat due to inclement weather 12/23-12/26. Foot surgery so arrived on 12/23 with crutches, knee scooter, 2 bags, purse. I asked the clerk at the desk if there was a cart and he pointed to the entrance. I said, "I have crutches and can't go back to the entrance"-no response. I told the clerk "heads up! the apt. complex does not have heat so there might be a flood of calls"-trying to lighten the obvious mood-no response. My neighbor who drove me asked if there were rooms in case the heat did not come back on-no response so I repeated the question and the clerk said, "I'm still finishing her reservation but we have rooms". My neighbor got me a chair to sit while the clerk re-keyed the reservation because he said I made the reservation for another Hampton Inn. Nope- we were standing in the building located at 2775 Cumberland Pkwy SE, Atlanta, GA 30339. He did not know where he worked? He handed me the key but I was sitting in the chair on the other side of the counter (surgery). Did he reach over the counter? No. Did he come around the counter to hand me the key? No. He did the same thing when handing me back my credit card. 12/26-Checking out-I asked a woman behind the counter for a detail of fees because the taxes and fees almost equaled the room stay for 2 days. 6% is easy to calculate but what else? "WE DON'T GIVE RECEIPTS, I CAN'T GIVE YOU A RECEIPT. THE RECEIPT COMES FROM A 3RD PARTY". All caps because she was speaking loud enough that someone standing near the floor to ceiling windows, which at this location has a few walls in between, could hear. She then committed the customer service sin! While I am still trying to understand who gives receipts she asks the person who walked up behind me if she could help them. Translation-I'm through with you.
Before this encounter, I left the handicapped room (120 which has a layer of dirt on the bottom of the floor lamp) with my bags, crutches, knee scooter, and headed down the hall. At that moment, Walgreens called to say they have my prescription. I can't do my usual walk & talk so I had to stop and balance 2 bags on each handlebar, purse on shoulder, and crutches. Staff are passing by because housekeeping was across the hall from the handicapped room. The maid stops her cleaning cart because she can't get by but I also can't move (handicapped). I motion for her to go by & she points to an object on the floor that is stopping her from passing me. Another guest sees it and picks it up. Guess what it was? A dustpan! She could not pick it up and be on her way? Instead, she rolled her eyes and yelled at the customer THANK YOU when she got next to me.
if you want your family and friends to visit Vinings, pass the Hampton Inn, go 2 lights to Paces Ferry, make a right, cross over 285, and the Fairfield Inn is on the left. Customer Service is excellent. No Staff would have walked passed me with 2 bags on the handlebars, crutches, a knee scooter., and not helped. Fairfield Inn would have also taken that inside information of an apt complex with no heat, capitalized on an urgent need, and made "bookkooos" amount of money. Only spend your money where you...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2/14/2021-As Iām currently staying in my room rating my 2 day Valentines Day weekend stay it has been nothing but consistent upsets! Our first issue here at the Hampton Inn (Cumberland) is that my husband an I had to change rooms on different floors 4 times because each room thermostats didnāt work to heat the rooms up then when we finally get a room weāre theirs is a working thermostat BUT the room was dirty with bath towels on the bathroom floor, king bed wasnāt cleaned & made up you can just tell that the housekeeping person never even cleaned the room for the day. So we had to wait after dragging our belongings AGAIN for the room to be cleaned. The next day Sunday 2/14/21 my husband and I were going to be out for awhile so we asked the front desk at 11am if we could have our room cleaned needless to say it wasnāt cleaned after returning back at 5pm. I spoke with Chris at the front desk who has just came in on his shift moments ago an wasnāt the same person I spoke with at 11am asking him if he could reach out to housekeeping for our room to be cleaned while at this time housekeeping is gone for the day an Iām sure Chris knew that however he said heāll have to see if anyone from housekeepers still in the building, well after 30mins later Iāve gotten no call in response so I went down to Chris at the front desk to see what was going on he then stated that theirs no one from housekeeping in the building but he can help if I needed. I explained I needed more bath towels of all kinds an need the bed covers changed because a Valentines gift of mine that had glitter in it an had gotten all on the bed. Well they were out of washcloths but gave me xtra hand towels & big towels an we had to change our own bed sheets! Not to mention they vending machine's were all sold out on both the 3rd & 4th floor. The free WiFi has an unstable connection an forces you to have to pay for the internet for the day which was $4.95 and of course we paid it because we wasnāt getting good service with the room we were in. So over this weekend stay was the worst hotel stay my husband and I ever experienced theirs no reason why a hotel donāt have enough towels to provide to itās guest whenever they need it, no reason why you canāt get your room cleaned & serviced when notified way in advance, no reason why we had to change rooms so many times because of their failure to up keep them, the vending machines ok I understand that an it was the least of all of my issues but I grant this will be my last time ever staying here an the fact that all this was expressed and nobody even wanted to compensate our stay is exactly why I wonāt be back an Iām rating my stay a 1 āļø Other than my experience at Hampton Inn (Cumberland) the location is great with lots of shops & eateryās around an itās quite! I hope whoever reads this has a better experience or reconsider an spend your money with another hotel that is known for great services no...
