Definately worth a try id have to go back to give it a better rating. which i think they can get. as all the makings of a great resturaunt were there.

seemed like a great place. they get 1 star for ambience great feel to it. 1 star for presentation it looked good they lost a star for making us wait for almost an hour to get our food. we were done choosing out food and waited for a while for a waiter to take our order, then it took a long time to get the food.

they lost a star for how well it was cooked. i ordered steak medium and what i got was well done and charred. it also said it had mushrooms on it... i literally saw a small sliver of a mushroom.. thats right 1 sliver.

they lost a star on taste, i would give this a half star, and i felt three stars was too good for my experience. the dressing on the salad was good, the flavor of the bbq sauce they put on the meat was good, and the mash potatos were dry, but tasted good. for the price to portion ratio seemed high on the price side, $15 plus tax and tip for maybe 4 oz of steak, salat, a carrot and a small scoop of mashed potatoes... and the meat was burned...

final thought. im not done with this place id try it again. as i understand resturaunts...

I would love to be able to fully review this restaurant, but I walked in today to talk to the manager about renting their private room for a Wednesday evening in November, and was basically given the runaround by the bartender and ignored by the manager. The manager, Gabe who apparently also the owner, came into the restaurant at 5pm and had time to chat with a young woman sitting at the bar, but then left and went to the back of the restaurant as I sat there for 20 minutes waiting to discuss a potential private dinner party would’ve had a tab of over $2000. At most, it would have been a five minute conversation and there was maybe 10 people in the entire restaurant tops. Marissa at the bar could not have been more unhelpful, as all she could tell me was that he was busy. She was the person that told me to come back at 5 PM when I originally came in at 4:15 PM to get information about renting the private room. It always amazes me when you get really bad. Customer service at restaurants as I know their Martians are tight. Anyone have any recommendations of other options for private parties in...

Fugazzis is one of our very favorite restaurants in visalia, and not just because Mike and Debbie used to own.... when we went last night, we were surprised at the table placement and a couple other items. Our small table for 2 was against the kitchen wall, another table behind us, and the servers needed to slow down and some walked sideways to get thru. I moved our table back, but there was a table behind us, so maybe a couple inches. The table on the other wall could have been moved closer to the front door, not sure why they didn't.... the couple also had to be careful as servers for passing very close. No bread on the table with the delicious sauce. That was missed... Our wine glasses were brought with the wine bottle and put down on the table and server left. No discussion, just put down and left... Didn't open bottle or serve wine. Is she not old enough to serve wine? Anyway, different noisy vibe. We have usually sat in lounge or back room, so this was different for us. We always love the food, but I guess changes are...

Fugazzis Restaurant is a corner property on the main drag in Visalia. It is an upbeat, slightly upscale, establishment where Audrey and I chose to spend about 90 minutes to enjoy a nice, full meal. We split a Mediterranean salad, an encrusted salmon fillet and a side of coconut prawns. She finally settled upon a Ruffino Prosecco (fruit-forward sparkling white wine) while I enjoyed a Corona Extra (on tap) with lime. Two bread varieties were tabled at the outset with an oil, white balsamic and red pepper dipping sauce. The wait staff were relaxed, pleasant and professional. The table setting, location and style were well suited for a trendy, Italian bistro. The food was fresh, texture and temperature appropriate in every course. The presentation was above average, the flavors subtle, yet challenging. We paid $50.55 + our generous gratuity for a dining experience well done.

One of the few bistros open in Visalia on the Thanksgiving Holiday. Superior holiday atmosphere, prompt, courteous help staff. Our waitress forgot the salad, which would have been an excellent Apple and Pecan toss but, the Pear and Walnut salad would have been equally yummy. There is a broad range of well seasoned, beef and shrimp, pasta based dishes. No sausage choices. Sauces are properly seasoned, not too salty(!) The seating is a little uncomfortable for me but my woman likes it just fine. Great beef appetizers and beef stroganoff. Yummy dry portabello ravioli with mushroom cream sauce on the side. Great wine list and full adult beverage selection as well as full bar. Average desert menu but, the selections are site-prepared, fresh and outstanding. We go there just for the warm berry cobbler, coffee with Bailey's and primo vanilla bean ice cream!

We arrived at 11:05 for lunch - the restaurant was barely half full. It smelled amazing - we were so excited! We had to ask someone to seat us. Then ten minutes went by and we had to ask someone to take our orders. Fast forward to 11:40, we ask about our food and see it sitting under the heat lamp. Our salads hadn’t even been delivered. Five more minutes go by, and we ask for our food to be boxed to-go since we needed to be back at work. Our waitress snapped at a member in our party, and never boxed up our food. We spent nearly an HOUR in this place, and ended up leaving with the ONE appetizer they brought us. It had been sitting under the heat lamp for god knows how long, and wasn’t very edible. The $11 appetizer was TINY- see photo. We will not be returning, and I don’t suggest anyone do the same.
