šPROSš Good mini fridge. Extra outlets on side table. Good water pressure. Two types of pillows. Direct outdoor access to your room rather than indoor hallways. My room smelled like they had sprayed for bugs before my arrival. This is a pro for me, but could be a con for some. No bugs during my two-week stay! Mostly friendly staff.

Tiny room (Superior King)
Was not granted 1st floor room because I booked 3rd party. Hotel was not full.
CLEANLINESS: Although I felt the bed and appliances were cleaned pretty well, the bathroom was really bad, and they definitely don't pay attention to walls/corners/baseboards etc. There were actual splatter stains next to the toilet in the bathroom which looked like poop/pee/vomit. Seriously. Same thing on the door next to the toilet. No clue how this could be missed. There were multiple pubic hairs in the bathtub. There are weird permanent carpeted areas affixed to the flooring at the room entrance that look ancient, dirty, and stained. I found a pill in my doorway.
PRIVACY: Housekeeping starts knocking on doors shortly after 8am if you don't use the privacy sign! They did respect my privacy as I left the signage on the door for my entire stay, but the manager called me on my 10th day at 9am and insisted that I allow housekeeping clean my room. It was weird. If you want to do a maintenance or bug check, you should just say that rather than randomly forcing customers to allow staff to access their rooms.
ACCESSIBILITY AND MOBILITY: No elevators and limited stairs. If you have accessibility concerns, limited mobility, or a lot of luggage, some upstairs rooms are ridiculously far away from parking/stairs. I have no idea why they don't add a stairwell to both sides of each building, but there are only two per building: one in the middle of each building and one on the side farthest from the street. If you're upstairs on the side without a stairway, youre SOL. (I was in room 230 which is the corner room furthest from the stairs in the 2nd building.) If you have a lot of stuff to lug, it really sucks. You also have to regularly fight your way around the housekeeping carts and staff that pretty much block you in during the daytime hours. Additionally, toilets are very low to the ground.
SAFETY: There were maintenance staff and contracted painters all over the property for the majority of my first week. It was very uncomfortable for me, and many of the men stared AGGRESSIVELY. I dreaded each trip to and from my car. Staff should absolutely make guests aware of this before taking payment. No one did. Some housekeeping staff also seemed to not be the most professional. Room doors would be left open for long periods of time, some congregate in a cliquey type of way. Some were nice, though! I will say there was a very professional woman managing, monitoring, and making round, but when she was not around, some were unprofessional and territorial. The blocking of the walkways and stairs sucks for room 230.
LAUNDRY: Only one guest washer + one dryer. No key card access is required, so anyone can enter. The room is near the front lobby, and there is glass so you can see in. I did one load, and some of my clothes were damaged. There were a few holes in a shirt, and there was some type of oil/grease/possibly accumulated fabric softener stains left on my some of my dark tees. I did not use fabric softener or dryer sheets and only used my usual detergent I've been using for years. I'm not sure whether the washer or dryer did this. The laundry situation was a very big disappointment for me and was a selling point for the $500+ weekly charge.
WIFI: decent for browsing, but unreliable
Peeling/chipped paint, broken furnishings, and old non-working thermostats and mechanisms are depressing and indicative of a lack of care and upkeep. My room was missing one of the bedside tables. It looked like it had been ripped off the wall before my arrival.
Outdated signage on room doors states incorrect info.
The automated phone wakeup call didn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was simply looking for the cheapest place to stay for a couple nights that was close enough to Coffman Park to walk to the Irish festival. This place fit the bill just fine. It's by no means a luxury hotel, but the room had a bed, a fridge, and a bathroom, and I wasn't planning on spending much time there. I was alone, so there was no one to please but myself.
On the negative side, for some reason, the room seemed to be very humid in spite of the fact the AC was running all night. The bed sheets felt damp and the clothes I left out to wear each day felt damp as well. The bathroom looked very nice and had a nice large shower (that I didn't use), but the toilet had a tendency to periodically run during the night, so that could be a problem for a light sleeper.
On the positive side, the location was excellent and easy to get to, the bed was comfortable, and the fridge worked. Parking was free, and with it being within walking distance of the festival, that saved my $20 per day. Also, I'd heard someone at the festival talking about a bunch of cars that had been broken into at hotels in the area overnight, but that didn't seem to occur at this hotel (at least not to my car).
There is nothing special about this place, there aren't any amenities (not sure what the 'plus' is for), and it's definitely not going to impress anyone, but if you simply need inexpensive lodging and a place to sleep, it's fine. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I attend the festival in the future, though I might also consider the next-door Marriott if the price is right (i.e. a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur stay at this hotel was a complete disaster. The rooms were filthy and barely cleaned. In Room 227, the door wouldnāt latch unless slammed shut with full force. When we reported the issue, we were moved to Room 225, only to find the key reader on the outside was broken. The front desk attendant dismissed our concerns, blaming the cold weather and the hotel's outdated locks, even advising us not to leave our room.||Later, after checking out and back in, we were given Room 247. Upon unwrapping the toilet paper, I was horrified to see what appeared to be a tooth and hair fall onto the toilet lid. When I called the front desk, the staff member on duty argued with me, implying that I was accusing them of placing the tooth there. I escalated the issue to corporate, but they were of no help. Eventually, the hotel offered a free night and another room.||To make matters worse, the manager called us that evening and asked us not to return after our free night. This was shocking, considering we were simply addressing repeated issues with their cleanliness, maintenance, and overall professionalism. Instead of resolving their failures, they chose to remove paying guests who expected basic hygiene and functioning facilities.||I will be reaching out to corporate again and will provide an update on how they handle this situation.|||Rooms: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | ...
