What a great place! We went on our 19th Anniversary to have some good food and enjoy the ambiance. Both servers were great. I kept the gentleman busy with me drinking all the water out of my glass and he was 100% on top of filling it back up every single time! 5 x's at least! LOL! It had a lot of ice in it every time. Perfection! I did not have to ask or even move my glass over to the edge of the table. Nailed it! The steak we had was incredible. Dry aged chopped steak for me and petite filet mignon for my beautiful! They had a wide range of prices and we were fine with the early night dinner menu. Before 6pm. A lot of places are seemingly so high on their prices when eating out anywhere now. This place gave us the perfect amount of food. I knocked out the lobster bisque which was the best I have ever had on this side of the Mississippi and eastern Canada. Maine has a very close #2 now for me! The wine and drink selection was good. The steaks were cooked as if they were hooked up to a thermocouple attached to a computer to attain an Iron Chef insane badge of perfection! The best bang for your buck and ending up with a full belly and a big grin on your face is where I am at with this dinner! We had a very nice card, candle, and flower petals ready for us on the table. Then the gentleman brought us out a S'mores Desert. He lit a candle on it also! All of which surprised us and made both of us very happy on this occasion. Bonus 6th star for this! They had some awesome names for their steaks and cuts. If one would want a Japanese wagyu steak they have it. The way I look at it. If I go to a place and they cook what we had to eat at the highest level out there. Then imagine what the higher end top top notch steaks will do to your taste buds and mind! POOF! Mind blown! Attention to detail guys. Thank you for a great time with great people. As you walk in, big smiles greet you. Then to being taken care of as you enjoyed your meal is what made it so nice. I only have one request. Maybe a broader selection of mushrooms. A medley of Mushroom species as a side, or to hopefully a more precise selection to entertain ones palate. That would be the grand finale. A fireworks show to beat all. Some turkey tail, COW, even morels can enlighten a plate of steak like no other. I will be back and will be very willing to spend more $$ on the top shelf cuts of steak.

Hyde Park Steakhouse delivers a premium dining experience that’s hard to match. From the moment you walk in, the elegant atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable meal. The dim lighting, rich wood accents, and white tablecloths create a classic, upscale vibe that’s perfect for a special occasion or an indulgent night out. The star of the menu is undoubtedly the steak, and Hyde Park delivers on every level. Each cut is expertly cooked to your exact specifications, offering unparalleled flavor and tenderness. Their signature bone-in ribeye and filet mignon are standout choices, but the menu offers a variety of options to satisfy all tastes. The accompaniments, such as the truffle mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, are equally impressive and complement the main dishes beautifully. Service is attentive without being overbearing. The staff is knowledgeable, offering expert wine pairings from an extensive list and ensuring every detail is just right. While Hyde Park is on the pricier side, the quality of food, ambiance, and service make it worth every penny. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply craving an exceptional steak, Hyde Park Steakhouse sets the gold standard for fine dining. It’s a must-visit for steak lovers.

The hostess helped make us feel welcome from the start. I had accidentally made a reservation for the bar and must have had a surprised look on my face. Adam, the maître d’ noticed and hurried to offer a table in the dining room even though I was fine. Ashley and the entire staff enjoy their job and it shows in their attentiveness. The oysters smelled and tasted like the ocean. The escargot was presented in a garlic butter sauce. I wish I would have ordered the toasted bread that is served with the appetizer without butter. My preference would be to toasted on both sides enabling the sauce to be soaked into the bread. The Tomahawk steak was perfectly prepared and served in a bed of thin, crisp fried onions. The Potatoes Gruyire Gratin brought memories of my mother’s. Thirty or more very thin layers with a beautiful bechamel sauce that I wanted just eat by itself. The highlight for me being a seafood lover, was the Chilean sea bass in lemon citrus sauce which I ordered on the side. The flavor was incredible and fish moist with a light crust. Overall, a memorable night.

You messed up badly. You handed the remote control to me and I was watching a PROFESSIONAL hockey game, then the manager comes to me 20 minutes later and said he had to change the channel because there were some people wanting to watch a COLLEGE football game. The manager's response was " yeah im sorry but you know how it is, this is a football town". That was literally all he could come up with for a reason that I couldnt continue to watch what I had obtained permission to watch prior.

I was planning on dropping some cash. I was going to treat myself last night.

The featured wine was out, my server didn't catch that, i had to point it out that it was the wrong year. Obviously, its not good to be out of the featured bottle that you're touting, but I moved on and ordered a different bottle without any fuss...

I was planning on being there for three hours and get a lot of food, since well, I did buy a whole bottle of wine for my meal. I was going to get the works!

However, I did get half a salad and half a crab cake eaten before my game was changed. Naturally, I wasn't going to order dinner at that point and give them more money. They had lost me at that point. So I ended up stuck with a 200 dollar bottle of wine with no meal.

What I should have done is insisted on a comp for at least something...because of course, I would have had to since the manager didn't seem to care and never even offered to try and make it right. On the wine or TV.

I would never treat my thousands of customers that way. I own 4 retail stores in 3 states. When compamy or my employees screw up, we take accountability and offer free product without hesitation to the customer on the spot. That's how business should work anyway.

update I'm just curious to see if you have a reply. You reply to all your good reviews, but not the bad. Again, if you at least made an effort, or apologized and said to yourself, "you know Buddy, we screwed up on that one, how can we make it right?" That would be the professional thing to do. Waiting for your your...

My girlfriend and I are new to Columbus I having moved here for my job. We visited this steakhouse for the first time yesterday as a special dinner a day before Valentine's Day. We are both young professionals who might look out of place (though not dressed down by any means) in a steakhouse like this one. I imagine that's why the hostess looked us up and down with a scowl and asked "what can I help you with?" Instead of directly asking if we had a reservation or not. We arrived about 10 minutes early and they were having issues figuring out what to do with us. They could have simply asked if we would wait, though I doubt the party taking a little too long would be done in that short time frame anyhow. Instead of being seated at our reserved table we were sat in the "lounge" two booths right by the bar. No issue but very off putting considering we both felt as if they (the two hostesses) assumed we didn't belong or couldn't afford to eat here.

What saved the night was the excellent steak. I ordered rare and it was true to advertised. A red cool center with a slightly but tastefully charred outside buttered to perfection. The accompanying fried onion straws were a wonderful addition to the tasty and perfectly cooked filet mignon. We shared a side of the whipped potatoes and I couldn't have been more happy with that selection. The wine menu was extensive and had some good selection however we skipped ordering any, unfortunately still very put off by our initial reception in the restaurant. The server we had was both bar tending and serving and while she had extensive knowledge of the menu, I would expect just a little more attentiveness at 40 dollars a plate.

The final verdict; the steak is rightfully what this place is known for. If the other locations can do it like this one it is certainly on my list now for a young couple new to Columbus Ohio. However I hope the service will be a little more attentive and the host is a little less assuming at the...
