My first time at this location back in June of 2024 and the experience of a small, owned family business that is still thriving. Which is an amazing site to see within an area that is in need of an uplift/help. I did not just wonder into this location, nor did I hear about this place from the internet. I was invited to go here and eat. I did not know this place existed because it did not advertise. No social media presence nor billboards to draw attention from the outside area.
The location does not have off street parking and is also in a place where they cannot be seen from the main road. This place is in an Alley Street location that is tucked away within a larger building high rise. Walking in you can tell from the people that this place is the place to be for local pizza. The pizza here is good for the area in my personal opinion. Will I recommend trying this place? Yes, I would put it on the bucket list as a definite place to go to, if you are in the Waterbury area. My taste is different from the next person so I will not overly judge this place. This is your plain So, I will only return If I am in the area and would find parking.
The downside to this place is location. Not all businesses may want to grow but many have the potential to do more because they offer something different. This is one place that has earned the people hearts.
Service was great. The bathrooms very clean Yet the seating was very limited. As well as everything being outdated. Yet this place is not about the new and up to date tech inside or the lavish seating. It is about selling pizza and offering food at reasonable pricing, returning customers and earning...

WOW!! I grew up eating Dominick and Pia’s Downtown Waterbury Pizza from the time I was a baby! After moving to Houston, Texas, five years ago, I’ve told everyone that the only thing I truly miss about Connecticut is the pizza. 🍕 Texas is great for BBQ and Mexican food, but the pizza just isn’t the same!
Well, my partner flew into CT on Friday for a family event and flew back to Houston last night — and he surprised me with the BEST gift ever! On his way to the airport, he stopped at Dominick and Pia’s to grab me a large pizza! 🍕😍 Pia and the family were so incredibly kind — they even helped him package the pizza in ziplock bags so it would survive the trip home! ✈️🍕
I ever got to share some with my Mom, who was super excited to have the pizza as well.
I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to Pia, Dominick, Dave and the rest for being so thoughtful and helping make my pizza dreams come true. 😂 It might sound like it’s just pizza to some, but to me, it’s reliving my childhood and so many special memories. ♥️
If you haven’t tried Dominick and Pia’s yet — trust me, it’s worth traveling 1,800...

After i finished i Had about a 1/2 hour left on the parking meter - so I decided to walk over to Dominic and Pias for a couple slices of their yummy pizza Hadn’t been in awhile and it was on my mind for a while — I have been going there for pizza for 50 plus years - So when I’m in the area- I stop in. It’s not as often any more - because I live 2 hours away now. But if you like a thin sliced pizza that melts in your mouth. This is the place to go It’s a small little place - in a side street -next to to the palace theater - and it’s always busy If you like pizza you need to try Dominic and pia’s - you will be glad you did ! Had many pizza parties for my children there - and many lunches there - when i was a working teenager ! It’s the best in Waterbury for sure! And I’ve tried a lot of places in Waterbury -for pizza throughout the years The others are ok to good - but this one place is best! Try it yourself you will be...
