Grand St. Tavern — Restaurant in Waterbury

Yesterday was my birthday and after being turned away by another restaurant after driving a party of 12 an hour out because they wanted to close early even after we called and confirmed I was just over it. Let me tell you how the Grand st.Tavern turned my birthday frown upside down lol. Not even prepared to service my large party with 1 chef let me make this very clear they really gave me a Happy Birthday. They were very welcoming and got the job down. The wings was slamming and the chef could have just rushed and threw the plates together and let me say everything was plated nice, food came out fresh and I just had such a great experience. It's literally the next day and I'm ready to drive back here for more wings and shrimps 🤣🤣🤣

I don't know what to say,but my chicken was not even fully cooked nor was my burger even seasoned. Even the owner seems a bit out of it when I talked to him and smelled like liquor. Grand street tavern is a great new addition to downtown Waterbury. The change inside is really nice. It has a nice upscale vibe with great food also. The owner is a nice guy and I can tell he puts a lot into his restaurant because everything is great there and the staff is very nice. Mike the Bartender is the best around.
