So I recently stayed for a week. And you definitely should bring your own food for breakfast if you stay longer than a couple days. . Because they serve the exact same breakfast every single morning. Biscuits and gravy and waffles. They have some cereal and these huge muffins that they cut in half and super unripe/green bananas. Don't get me wrong. I love biscuits and gravy, but more options would have been better. They also mistakenly overcharged my roommate, and of course, the money comes out immediately, but it's going to take ten days for it to come back. I was also walking out of the breakfast area one morning and my hands were full because I was taking my food back to my room and i stumbled a little bit and spilled a little drop of apple juice on the carpet, and the guy at the front desk literally started yelling at me, telling me that im spilling. And I had to look at him and ask him what he wanted me to do about it because my hands were full and it's not like i dumped a cup of apple juice on the carpet. I thought I was in trouble. Some literally just dripped off the top because the cup was full. It was such a weird encounter. Also while I was there I was working, and unfortunately, the wi fi in the building was not strong enough some of the time, so it was hard for me to get work done. I never had full bars.I only had maybe two bars of wi fi being in my room. Can't complain too much about that, though, because it's free. On the plus side, there's four pillows on a queen bed and they're very soft and the beds are comfortable. I had a nice L shaped desk to set my computer on and the t.V works. The shower is hot.But the bathrooms are kinda small. UPDATE- we ended up staying here again literally.Only for 1 night, because we decided to move from minnesota to south dakota, and this hotel was the halfway point. We got there at like two or three in the morning, and we're told by the front desk that we could stay after late checkout since it was so late. Great. We love that. We are tired. Tell me why the owner of the hotel literally came in our room at 9 am, turned on the lights, and had the door opened like we were supposed to leave! even though it wasn't even time for checkout. He came in our room and looked at all of us while we were sleeping. I felt so incredibly vulnerable. At first I didn't even realize that it was him.And that it had turned the lights on.I thought my friend had forgot to turn the light off when she got back into bed. Nope.It was him coming into our room and flipping on the light and looking at us and through our stuff while all of us were dead asleep. He tip toed into our room so quietly our dog didn't even hear him. So that right there is very suspicious. He turned on all the lights, expecting us to get up and get out. Who knows how long he had even been in the room before we woke up. He kept knocking on the door and harassing us, saying that we had to leave. Even though checkout literally wasn't even until noon. We will never be back here. And I strongly advise that nobody stay here. The front desk people are rude. The owner is rude and super creepy. Possibly a thief because why else would you be skulking around the room while the rest of us are sleeping? You're better off sleeping in your car...
Read moreMy wife and I made it to our reservation at this Days inn. After 4 hours of driving. We checked in. Went to our first floor room. My wife figured the my girls and there mother would soon show up and went to the truck for the things we didn't bring in. And our small. Cooler. Everyone showed up bout that same time. Four to five minutes in Re-enter is my wife following her was my 12 year old daughter her mother behind Mom was my 17yr old her boyfriend and 1 friend both I will be introduced to after getting to the room. My wife asks me upon her return would I like a beverage. I said yes leaning back on the bed. The phone rings and my wife takes the call while the girls are ABOUT to open their Christmas presents. I over hear my wife say out loud no we are not having a party I told you when we checked in my kids were coming for their Christmas presents. And hung up the phone seemingly in distress. I immediately went to the front desk and ask what the problem was. The desk clerk seemed to be on something because he started yelling about people staying in the room and parties. I informed him there would only be my wife and 1 child with myself in the room and no party was happening. The next thing I know the clerk was calling the police and telling me we need to leave . We were only here 10 minutes. We had no complaints from anyone else about a party or a problem. But this guy was so high he calls police. While he's on the phone with police says I threatened to punch him in the face. Hummmm. First of all I did not say any such thing. And he is yelling at the phone in another room with a large counter between us. I got back to the room and tell everyone to pack up. My wife's first words were I BETTER GET MY MONEY BACK I returned to the desk to wait for police and my refund. When police show up they determine that there was NO criminal activity and said we could go. Before we could load up he quickly said the hotel mgr wanted ME and only ME to be trespassed and to sign a paper for it. So now when my wife made our reservation she told them where we were about when we would arrive and what our visit plans were. Note we did this same exact thing last year at this time. I am...
Read moreIf google would allow me to rate this place a 0, I don’t even think it deserves a 0. It deserves a negative. I got robbed by housekeeping at this hotel. Friday night, I bought three things from target, two of them being a trending shampoo and conditioner. Saturday morning, everything is fine and dandy where it should be, in the shopping bags. Saturday evening, we come back to find the shampoo and conditioner completely gone. The other item was clothing that was in the target bag, and that was still there. So we tore apart the entire room and couldn’t find them. The night before, I had filmed a haul of everything I got, and I have picture proof of the bright orange shampoo and conditioner being in the bag. The bag hadn’t been set anywhere near the trash, and even if the shampoo and conditioner were not in the bag, they were completely full and couldn’t have been mistaken as trash. Went down to the front desk, the worker was OUTSIDE SMOKING. He didn’t do anything, went back the next morning and talked to the housekeeper. She was an old toothless lady, so it was understandable she didn’t take the clothes, because they wouldn’t have fit her. She changed her story many times, and front desk defended her. They also refused to reimburse me, and we ended up filing a police report. Hoping this place gets what it deserves.
Also, want some breakfast from the place? Sorry, there aren’t many options!
The bathroom was probably a 4ft by 3ft room, not exaggerating. Barely any space to change or dry off in there.
The air conditioner was also EXTREMELY loud. Woke up many times throughout the night to the sound of it rattling.
DO NOT stay at this place unless you want your personal belongings searched through and stolen. Service is horrible, workers are extremely rude. Absolutely terrible. The most positive part of my hotel stay...
