Covina Motel — Hotel in West Covina

Understand this is a very basic old style motel. We had two rooms, 120 and 131. On the positive side, the grounds and outside the buildings are very nicely maintained. The flooring was a newer vinyl and there was crown molding in the rooms. The bathrooms had nice tile. Freeway noise is unavoidable as the motel is right next to the freeway, but with the A/C on in the room the noise was not too bad. There was a work desk with two straight back chairs. It appears they are trying. But there were issues.||||The mattresses were very hard and the towels were thin with no washcloths. The rooms need paint, or at least wash the painted woodwork. Our bathroom door needed cleaning and it would not close all the way. There is no lock on the bathroom doors. One of our rooms did not have a toilet paper holder. Just a roll on the toilet tank. There was graffiti on the door frame of our bathroom. There are only three lights in the room, two celling and one on the wall leaving the room kind of dark. I was sort of surprised to find an ashtray in the room. The only drawer in our room had no handle. Just the holes for one. There are no hangers in the room and no peep hole on the door which is a safety hazard. There is a charge for ice. The main issue I had though was the TV channels. Without warning while looking for a show to watch, we stumbled on two very adult TV channels with graphic sex going on. Had we had children with us, they would have seen something that even I did not want to see. One other odd thing was when we turned into the parking lot at 10:00 PM. A police car waited for us to turn in, then followed us to our parking space and waited for us to get out of the car while they watched. They then drove through and left. Not sure why the police would be watching who is going...

I made my reservation online, I arrived at around 1 pm (the website said I could check in anytime after 12 noon) however the lady at the desk was unbelievable rude from the start, she was on a personal phone call while talking to me, telling me that the reservation I made did not matter since there were no rooms available until after 2 p.m. Anyways. She said the website had lied and I needed to just wait or comeback after 2 pm or later, but she had already requested to see my ID as if she was going to actually check me in. All she wanted, was to look at my personal information then handed it back to me in such repugnant manner. She was way too disrespectful and I definitely did not want to stay here after the way she treated me. I felt insulted for she acted like I was an idiot for showing up at the time I was told by the website. I definitely do not recommend anyone, who feels they deserve to be treated with some dignity to ever stay here.There are plenty of other motels to choose from really close by to this one. There's nothing special about this motel. Stay anywhere else but here!!! I strongly...

RUDE DOESN'T DO THIS FEMALE JUSTICE...she is the worst and she doesn't care. When I said I'm going to cancel my reservation due to her level of rudeness she said "fine, go ahead". What has happened to common courtesy? I work nights and simply asked about check in times. Why should she care? It makes no difference if I am a happy satisfied customer or not. Why would anyone want to give their precious business to this person when there are many other places that will openly show their appreciation and treat you with simple kindness so that your time with them is a pleasant experience that will be memorable.
