I've been here a few times. CANDY BACON. that's it. That's the review. 4 out of 5 CANDY BACON.
Cleanliness: This is an impressive establishment and each time I've dined I've been secure with the amount of cleanliness and attention to detail the servers, waiters and food handlers (that I've keenly observed from afar) have provided.
Atmosphere: The floor plan is a bit wide open and with outdoor seating as an option too! one never really feels couped up or locked into the establishment so you can relax and breathe easy.
Food: Candy Bacon folks. If you tried it, then you know- if you haven't tried it and are considering it, then get onboard. If you are not a fan- you're lying to yourself. This is the zenith of human culinary creation ladies, gents and others- we are living in the apex of our civilization and loving it. I've had the burgers, hot dog, and brussel sprouts, all bomb.
Adult Beverage Selection: That huckleberry brew slaps let me tell you something people, do not rest or sleep on this savory concoction- these brewmasters must have came down from the heavens. Best of all, i've never not yet anways been hungover as a result from ingesting this fruity brew... you know the sugar counts on other fruit based beer can be insanely high- I'm not saying this isn't the case, heck- i don't know, it's just in my experience it's been pleasant. Make sure to go during happy hour to experience the best prices and the "cowboy up" option which adds a shot to your beer.
**They have a beer club, don't know much about it- but looked like a good deal if you're into such things.
Pricing: Ok, this is the one star down, yes, it's a bit pricey for this patron, and i know that the candy bacon is worth it so I make sure to allocate enough funds every so often to make a visit. I highly suggest that you utilize the happy hour, which is ample in hours and offerings... not hard to find the times for your location. This gives you the best shot (see what i did there) to really unwind and have a great time without breaking the bank and enjoying that sugary swine... oh you an add it to a grilled cheese sandwich as well.. pretty...
Read moreWe were in the West Covina area and wanted to get dinner before the rush. We chose the Lazy Dog. We were a bit nervous because we went to a Lazy Dog in Brea and it was a terrible experience. Needless to say, we were greeted warmly and sat promptly. The waitress was busy, so another person came by just to get our drink orders while we wait. Good catch and awareness by the team. Our waitress was fabulous. Very genuine, very warm and made us feel very welcomed. I was already feeling better. We ordered our food. Flat Iron with garlic butter served with waffle-cut au gratin potatoes, seasonal vegetables and housemade gravy on the side. We also ordered the Fried Chicken sandwich. The salad came out promptly and made to order as requested. The food came reasonably quickly. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was cooked well, and with everything they provide, it tasted well, and the fries were cooked well. However, the star was the Flat Iron Steak meal. The seasoning on everything was perfect! I could not ask for anything better. The vegetables were delicious, the au gratin was wow, especially with the juices of the steak and garlic butter mixed in. One recommendation I did, ask for two dollops of Garlic Butter. YUMMMMMM! The steak was cooked to perfection as requested, and the taste made my taste buds dance with joy.
I was in a dinner bliss! Typically flat iron can be tough; however, on this occasion, it was not and seasoned to perfection. I wish I would have taken a before and after picture of my plat as there was not a drop left on the cast iron skillet that the dinner was served on. It was that good. We ended the evening with the Apple-Huckleberry Open Face Pie. Huckleberry fruit along with apples, cinnamon and a scoop of delicious vanilla ice cream topped off one of my best dinners in many months. I wish I could replicate this visit wherever I go as the service was on point, the food was on point, and it was just a terrific customer...
Read moreMe and my family went there for pre-Mother's Day. The decorations are awesome there's a bunch of wood timbers in the ceiling there's an antler chandelier there's dog paw prints everywhere there's cool sculptures made out of metal pieces. The place is huge and has very high ceiling. We were seated next to the kitchen which I wouldn't recommend because it's kind of loud. Our server was really friendly and helpful. She was at our table multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. It was very busy. She answered questions about things on the menu. I really liked the strawberry lemonade. I got the country quiche with umami fries instead of hash browns. I love the flavor and the texture of the quiche. The fries were really good. My fiance got the barbecue bacon burger with fries. He said that the patty was pretty thick the flavor overall was really good but it was a little greasy. The fries were excellent. My mom got the chicken pot pie. She really loved the crust it was super hot so it took forever for it to cool down enough to eat. She would have liked it more if there was a crust on the bottom. My dad was not too happy about the breakfast burrito because it did not have a lot of bacon in it. It did have a lot of vegetables and I think he said the flavor was good. Oh my God the butter cake was so yummy. It was warm and moist and of course buttery and it had a strawberry compote which was the perfect combination of sweet and sour. The vanilla bean ice cream they put on top was excellent. Then there's the brownie sundae. The flavor was so rich and it was yummy. Alsopped with the vanilla bean ice cream and what seemed to be a dark chocolate syrup. There are so many things on the menu that I would love to try but it's not real close to my house. I would definitely...
