We stayed at Hatchery House last weekend and had the pineapple room and the highlands room. They were both absolutely perfect! The location of the rooms are right across the foyer from each other, so it was like we had our own little area/suite. The decor is so comfortable and relaxing. The owners of the home, Julie and Richard, are extremely hospitable and friendly, and give you the best advice on places to go and things to do. Their food was out of this world! If you’re there on a Sunday, you will get the famous Sunday cinnamon rolls! The history of the home and pictures of the renovation were very interesting to look at. It’s located so central that you can walk to anything you would want to do in Weston. If you plan to travel to Weston, do not miss the experience of staying at Hatchery House! We will be back!

This was my first time in Weston! My friend and I wanted to book a girls day/night away from KC. The Hatchery House was the perfect place to be. Not only is it incredibly close to the already walkable small town, but parking is easy too! The room we stayed in was decorated like Christmas and it felt so at-home and cozy! The lobby was stocked full of snacks, drinks, anything you could possibly want! Our hosts made a wonderful breakfast, and I loved their dog who joined us in hopes of getting some leftovers (lol!) If we come back for another girl’s weekend to relax we will not be staying anywhere else but here!!

We loved the Hatchery House. We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place to disconnect from everything and just enjoy each other, even if just for one night. Easy walking distance to nightlife as O'Malley's Pub (underground Irish pub) is right across the street. We stayed in the Pineapple room and it was well appointed. Large room and we didn't hear much noise from other guests staying. The breakfast was fantastic. We were served a spinach and ham quiche with bacon, fruit, and a blueberry muffin. We'll be back in the near future. Thanks Drew and Janelle!

Newly updated but still with all the charm, amazing service and food. Going back very soon!

The new inn keepers, Drew and Janelle, were very pleasant and gave us a quick tour of the lobby with a working telephone booth, coffee machine and ice machine. Have us some tips for places to walk to - all within a block or two so the location was perfect.

We stayed in the Lewis and Clark room the last weekend of May, 2017. It was newly updated, very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Very private and the windows over looked the lovely back patio and gardens. There was a romantic fireplace in the separate sitting area of our room/suite and the bedroom was just off that. Was decorated with nice touches, but didn't feel like you were staying at an antique shop. :) only complaint of that room is the small bathroom but didn't have a issue with that really.

We didn't hear the others guests at all during our stay which is really important to us for a good nights sleep.

The gardens are just gorgeous this time of year and there's several different sitting areas to shoes from to sit outside and enjoy that wine you got or that they provide at the complimentary happy hour!

Breakfast is served in the dining room upstairs. It's the only pics I got since we were having such a great time! The food was delicious and I loved that we got our own table. So we were in the same room as the other guests but not eating with them. Janelle made fresh banna bread that was amazing along with the fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, sausage and eggs for breakfast. We left full and happy.

This is now our go-to spot in Weston and will be back again this summer!

Tips for booking: -if you have a preference for food or allergies just tell them when you book the reservation. -handicap assessable room on the main floor and they can bring breakfast downstairs to you. -they have a small parking lot and plenty of street parking but nothing covered I believe. -book in adance for weekends for sure, but they had a last minute cancellation so they can accommodate walk-ins if...

My hubby and I stayed back in May 2012 with family and had a wonderful experience. We stayed again recently and it was a huge disappointment. The owners don't live on the property and I don't think they even live in Weston. The Innkeeper that was moving out was rude and shouldn't have been dealing with guests under any circumstances. We stayed in the Quilt/Jacuzzi tub room. The room definitely needs to be updated and/or repaired. The dresser had a damaged drawer and the front of it kept falling off on to the floor. The bathroom was a total disaster. The toilet seat was broken and almost falling off of the toilet. The toilet also moved and was leaking water since the seal around the bottom was damaged. The handheld shower on the jacuzzi tub was also leaking water. There was barely any water pressure or hot water. It took almost one hour to fill up the jacuzzi tub to even be able to use it. There were times that it was hard to even wash your hands in the sink due to the bad water pressure. There were also problems with bugs including a larger centipede or millipede and ants in the bathroom. There were also a lot of flying and biting ladybugs in the bedroom. We didn't eat breakfast since I have multiple dietary restrictions and the Innkeeper really didn't want to discuss them with me. I couldn't risk getting sick. Supposedly a new Innkeeper has been hired and is supposed to be starting soon. We have spoken to the female owner about everything. We really weren't all that impressed with our conversation with her especially after everything that occurred during our stay. There are other places to stay in Weston so we will be staying someplace else the next time that we visit there. There are just too many different issues going on at this B & B and it doesn't help that the owners don't live on the property and keep going through different Innkeepers. Guests shouldn't have to be subjected to so...

My husband surprised me with a quick overnight trip to Weston this weekend and a stay at The Hatchery House Bed & Breakfast. What a wonderful experience!!

Richard and Julie went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and so enjoyable! When we first arrived, Julie took us on a tour of the house, showed us the common areas, and invited us to hit the extensive snacks and mini fridge filled with water and soda whenever we felt like it. As went upstairs, she told us cookies and candy were in the breakfast area and in our room, they had a welcome charcuterie tray and 2 drinks (wine and ale) for us to enjoy. As she said, "We believe in snacks around here!" What a welcoming way to bring people into their inn. We felt so comfortable immediately with all of these little extras they added in. Richard and Julie were also so helpful to sit down with my husband and I that evening for a few minutes to visit about the area and things to check out. (Turns out Richard is on the parks board and is one of the people responsible for the beautiful city park we walked through that evening!)

And my favorite part: I have a dairy sensitivity and my husband can't eat sausage. Julie emailed a couple of weeks in advance to ask about any dietary issues and very carefully planned breakfast to accommodate our needs. Richard and Julie skipped the sausage altogether and served the most delicious bacon instead. For me, they made my breakfast separate from what they served the rest of the guests. I got to eat the same meal, they just took the time to prepare mine without dairy. It was such a kindness as I just expected to eat a piece of fruit or something. Nope! I got the whole meal!

We left 24 hours ago and have already told some family members and a friend about this amazing place that they MUST visit! It's definitely on our list of places we need...
