Whiskey Snug — Local services in Weston

I have never been treated so poorly at a bar as I was at this bar, being a woman myself and by a woman that is also the owner. She questioned me and and my girlfriends as we were going upstairs to meet my husband that was already up there. We were addressed as “woman” and asked what we were doing as we were heading up the stairs. I told her that my husband was up there already and we were meeting up with him. A little bit later, she questioned me and my girlfriend’s again, as my husband was not sitting in his seat at the table at the time, and was standing near the table talking to someone else. We again said we were there with my husband. I asked her if it was because I was a woman, and she rolled her eyes, said she was an owner, and walked away. Also, our waitress addressed my husband by his name directly, but did not address any of the rest of us by our names. They only paid attention to when he needed a refill, as there were 4 women in my group with 1 man. I have no desire to go back there ever again, as they only try to cater to their...

Went here with our friends after becoming newly parents. Our friends had never been to Weston before so we were excited to show them around. Upon entering we were stopped and told “only 21 years or older”. At first I thought they were kidding since we had infants, but they were not kidding. We then asked if it was the babies or the strollers that we’re not allowed, To which they response with, “both, people who pay for babysitters don’t want to hear your babies crying”. 😬 our babies were not crying and we were stopping for a quick drink. Though I was disappointed by the designation of this store to not allow “anyone under 21, including babies,” the manager, Renz, was very kind & articulate in explaining their policy. (I can not say the same for the older woman working the register at the time.) I appreciated his willingness to have a conversation & explain the thought process / business history behind the policy.
