First of all, I'd like to explain that I booked a room out of necessity, not to enjoy a luxurious stay. The air conditioning was out in my home, so I grabbed the first, moderately-priced room I could find through a travel site. At check-in, we asked to extend the check-out time to 12 PM, as our air wasn't supposed to be fixed until the following afternoon.
The first room we were given seemed... okay. It had the feel of a room pawned off to people like me: people who don't pay full price because they booked through a travel site. That was fine with me, as I just needed a bed. As I looked around, I noticed a puddle of water on the restroom floor. After some snooping, I realized there was no water in the backpot of the toilet. It wouldn't flush. I returned to the front desk, and was given a new room with no hassle; although, I had to remind the clerk which room I was in initially. I went to the new room, and it felt much cleaner, smelled better, and even had a fireplace, which was a pleasant surprise. After leaving to run to my home and grab a few belongings, I returned to the room, and the door keys no longer worked. This seemed strange, as they hadn't been in contact with anything magnetic. I returned to the front desk and had them fixed. At around 11 PM that evening, my door opened unexpectedly and hit the deadbolt when some other guests attempted to enter the room, which apparently had been double booked. This awkward experience had us explaining that the room had been booked, and they'd have to return to the front desk. Someone entering your room once is a weird, kind of terrifying experience. Even worse, though, is that housekeeping opened our door AGAIN at 11 AM the following morning. Apparently word of our pre-determined late check-out time didn't reach the morning shift. Promptly 30 minutes later, I received a front desk call. After answering with, "Hello?" I got the reply, "Are you leaving?" I'm not paraphrasing. I gathered my belongings, and I proceeded to check-out. I planned to express my frustration in-person when I received the usual, "did you enjoy your stay?" Unfortunately, I didn't get that. I was asked if I wanted a receipt, then sent on my way.
I've never worked in the hospitality industry, but for the love of all that is holy, would it kill to have a little respect for your guests? I'd never give this place another dime, and I suggest you...
Read moreThis motel was having construction work done on the outside of their buildings; & because of this, we were woken up at 7 a.m. everyday for our entire stay. I think we should of gotten a discount because of the noise and the hassle. This motel is extremely outdated. The carpet on the floors have holes in them and the carpet looks like its been there since the early 90's. Our motel room had dead roaches on the floor and we found live roaches in the refrigerator. When I signed in to use their WiFi, a survey popped up for me to rate my stay. So I filled out the survey and gave my honest opinion. I submitted the survey and didn't think much about it after that. Little did I know that the survey answers would be sent directly to the owner('s) of the motel, and because of this, the owner('s) knew when someone filled out a survey and what room they were staying in, so that meant the surveys aren't kept anonymous. (I've always thought that when you fill out a survey that your identity is kept anonymous). This is how I found out that the surveys aren't anonymous... We had an issue with the t.v. not working properly, so I called the front desk and the female owner of the motel came to our room to fix the issue that we were having. When the owner arrived she was extremely rude, & she told my husband that she read my survey answers & that I was a rude person & I'm the reason why America is like it is. I am a U.S.A Army Veteran, I joined the military, because I wanted to help protect my fellow Americans and to give back. I still can't believe that this woman had the audacity to tell me that I'm the reason why North America is so bad. Whatever! I don't see her joining the military or volunteering at homeless shelters or soup kitchens. In my opinion; If the owners of this motel didn't want to read or hear their customers' true opinions than they shouldn't send out surveys! Duh!!! Also we had to put down a $100.00 deposit on our credit card, when we asked about getting our deposit back we were told the deposit will be released on Monday, we didn't get our deposit back for almost 2 weeks. The management and the staff are extremely rude. The maids only speak Spanish and they barely understand english. Plus there is a lot of road construction going on around the motel. DON'T STAY HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT ROACHES. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO MY...
Read moreThe room was fine it was good for the price it is an apartment kind of feel so I liked that. But omg it was so hectic to check in. So it was my birthday and me and my boyfriend wanted a hotel for the night so we booked at this one at like 6pm okay we arive around 8 or so. Nowhere in the policy on the third party website or thier website does it say you have to be 21 or older like they don't even sell alcohol. But when we get there around 8 the guy at the front counter tells us we can't get booked because we are nineteen and have to be 21 and we explained to him that we already paid for it and nowhere did it say that and it is non-refundable. He said management told him that you have to be 21+ and in order to get the room we had to go contact the third party company and get them to change the name to someone 21+ and that person has to be present at time of check in. So we call my boyfriends sister to come out all the way from the other side of town. While the third party company (super.com) was taking forever to respond. At this point it's like 10 and his sister we arrives so they go back inside and ask the guy at the front if he can change the name so we can check in because the third party company is taking forever. He has a horrible attitude and tells them no there's nothing he will do. So finally at like 11 the third party company reaches back out to say that they called the hotel and are waiting on a confirmation email. Then the guy walks out and tells us he's waiting on an email. Then like 11:30ish the guy finally "receives" the email and tells us we can go back in with his sister and check in. But another guy comes out to check us in he was much nicer and apologized for the other guy having an attitude. This morning we went for breakfast and the morning staff was much nicer, we ate breakfast and were told to have a good day. When we checked out the lady was extremely nice to us and also told us thank you. I would not recommend this place whatsoever but there is a hotel right down the street called the country inn and I would recommend going there the breakfast is much nicer and so is the...
