I've never written a bad review before so this took me awhile. I was on a long road trip and needed a place to stay for one night, and since I'd had a great experience at a previous motel 6, I was excited to reserve a room with the company again. At first everything was great, the room was clean and staff were super friendly. Once I turned off the lights though, I started feeling extremely itchy. I turned my phone on and saw a big bug climbing on my elbow. I freaked out, got up and turned the lights on and found a bunch of bright red dots all over the sheets moving around, obviously bed bugs. There were between 8-15 small red ones and two much bigger browner ones. I immediately dragged my dog to the shower and rinsed him off with hot water, luckily I didn't find many on him. Then I changed clothes, threw the clothes I was wearing away and got out of the room ASAP. I let the lady at the desk know, and she stated she couldn't do anything except take the room key and give me her managers name to call in the morning. I went to Walgreens and got garbage bags to put my electronics in and threw everything made of fabric away, and luckily found another hotel with one room left. The following morning I called Ron the manager and all he said is that my dog had fleas and he refused to acknowledge any kind of problem before I could even ask for a refund. I don't know how fleas suddenly became bright red, liked people and sheets more than dogs, only came out in the dark, and only show up at one hotel and not any others before or after this reservation, but I am 100% certain they were bedbugs. Unfortunately I didn't think to take pictures until right before I ran out of the room, and at that point the light had scared most of them away, but here is a picture of one I found...
Read morechecked in at 4.15 on 4-25-2022 clerk said computer was slow ,gave me key to room #133 and told me to come back in twenty minutes for my receipt, i,m in town as to take brother to clinic for back surgery as he has a bad back and i had requested a ground floor when I made our reservation to accommodate him. so i went to car and help my brother and grab our belongings. went to room and I had been holding using restroom for last 5-10 miles of trip. used restroom, number 2 and went to flush toilet but it was clogged, went immediately back to front desk to report to desk clerk and too see if if could send maintenance to correct problem and was told he'd let someone know whenever he saw him? and asked me if I'd like a plunger, went back and tried to unblock toilet my self and it would not unclog, and ran water in hand wash basin and noticed it too was clogged, I called front desk and he told me that he hadn't seen maintenance man and would put us in another room. on second floor which we can not do because of my brother not being able to use stairs, now at 65 years of age when i drive and stop for the night and pay a host good money, I or anyone else shouldn't have to work on plumbing, I asked for a refund and we drove down two buildings to super 8. Read moreAfter driving from MN we arrive tired. I pull into the parking lot with my truck and trailer and a hotel employee runs out the front door over to our truck and say "you cannot park here". Nice welcome to Motel 6. I tell him I am just checking in and usually ask where the best place is to park my truck and trailer. I followed him in to the check in area and they cannot find my reservation. I go out to the car to get it and they say my reservation was for last night. I booked the room the night before at 9:30 pm and I am sure I did not book it to arrive in Wichita the same eve. He gave me a room and told me to park on the street around the side of the building. I called the 1-800 number for Mote 6 and they said they will open a case and they assured me that if the hotel manager/owner does not respond in 5 days they will credit my account for the night I was not there. No response from the manager/owner yet. Poor customer service. The outside stairs to the second floor looked like and felt like they were going to crumble as we climbed them. We only used them once. Would not recommend anyone using them. The room was nice, the bed was nice. I travel through this area a few times a year and will not recommend anyone stay here The customer...
