Me my girlfriend and a friend stayed on Saturday, August 30th until Sunday, August 31st. We got our room, the first issue we ran into was on the way to the room, the elevator had smelled strongly of weed, so we ended up using the stairs the entire visit. We finally got to our room and upon inspecting, our bedsheets and mattress had pink and brown stains. Not only this but we later learned that we had no shower curtain. The bathrooms were not maintained one bit as the sink and toilet were filled with hairs. The water had only ran hot or cold, not warm, even after giving it time to adjust. We had paid $103 for the room, I think for another 20 more dollars, I'd pay Walmart workers to let me spend the night in the air ducts and it still would have been more maintained. Then I called 2 days later (September 1st) to discuss the issue since I wasn't present to mention it at check out, they allowed us to stay the night in an upgraded room for $60. I took up on the offer because I wanted to take the opportunity and give it another chance. Our stay was Tuesday, September 2nd to Tuesday, September 2nd since we didn't plan to stay for more than the day. I also learned Walmart is still a better hotel. The beds were attempted to be put together, one bed was fully assembled and the other had begun to be put together and given up on, the protective covers were halfway on and the sheets and comforters were lying loosely on the mattress. I thought that was the only issue but the same issues with the bathroom happened, poorly cleaned and no curtain. There was only one towel in the ENTIRE bathroom, compared to the 6 towels we had only a few days before. We had no TV remote at all so I had to make many trips as I found out what we were missing. A few hours prior to leaving, we found many roaches. The only reason we came BACK to Red Roof was for the reduced price of the stay knowing we were gonna have to come back for an event anyway and because the oldest person with us was 18 and no other hotel would allow us to stay. I bombed $160 between the two days we spent there on the rooms and I completely regret it. The staff was friendly (but a little anti-social) so no hate to them. I never asked for a refund because I had felt like I'd overcomplicate every, but now I regret not asking and at this point I'm begging for a refund.
Note: The reservation wasn't under my name but I was the one that was there the WHOLE time and never left...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLoft hot tub room ad advertised with a 200 dollar price tag seemed reasonable until I checked in for a quiet well deserved two evening stay with girlfriend. First they put us in a standard room instead of the one I paid for, so after moving out things back down to lobby they gave us our advertised room only after showing them our third party agency receipt. Pool area was nice and atmospheric, the mice running around the premise gave it an authentic outdoor feel. The suite itself was a disappointment, minimum towel supply, running toilet, the hot water on hot tub was stripped and required some skill just to get it running. No battery in smoke detector. Water damaged ceilings leaked water into room during a rain storm. Coin-op dryer did not work. Room temperature pool was amazing relaxing then we were notified of pool closing by staff only to find out they had no towels and we were instructed to parade our dripping half naked bodies through the cold lobby for all to see if we wanted towels at the front desk. Bed was comfy, Linens clean, soft pillows. Remote control had dead batteries so I went down for replacements and management wanted to go to room as if I was too incompetent to replace them myself or perhaps I was squeezing them out of a cheap set of AA ba my friend was in the tub and I felt it wasn't appropriate for a non guest visitor at the time so we watched American television in Spanish for some of the evening eventually shutting it off. Tub was grimy and bad to be cleaned. Overall I felt the room potentially could be very exceptional given the proper care.No service was even offered during our stay so I took initiative and went to front desk for towels then was told I should go find the housekeeper somewhere on premise I eventually did and she reluctantly gave me her last two towels. Our luck changed though the staff finally gave us their full attention during check out time and I felt like the only guest in the building, this staff has the 'give us your money and get out' treatment down. I requested a late stay with the obligatory late fee of 35 dollars which was expected and reluctantly given considering our treat during this stay. This hotel is at best an exercise of selfcontrol and making the best of an unfortunate event. Would gladly stay again if wasn't treated so poorly during checkout and or receiving some compensation this is bad practice that shouldn't require complaints...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is one of the worst places I've ever stayed. The hallways and parking lot and were so loud we had a hard time falling asleep. At 3am I was woken by people yelling from the parking lot. There was significant road noise, although I assumed that may happen, based on proximity to the highway. The road noise was the least concerning of all the excess noise. AC unit was extremely loud, waking people when it clicked on. Cleanliness of the room was mediocre. Reservation was for 4 people, but only 2 towels were in the room. Floors were all dingy in all corners, tile chipped, walls worn. The main flooring in the room was some type of wood/wood look- alike, which was nice. The security chain/ bar on the room door was broken, so couldn't be used at all. Beds were firm, but springs were very worn in center so if you share the bed, you'll be together in the center. One elevator never ran entire visit. Pool area seemed spacious and well lit, but a bit rundown. Paint was worn from floors. No towels available in the pool. I was concerned about my car parked overnight in the hotel lot- lots of people loitering in the parking lot, yelling, appearing under the influence, likely illegal activity. Police were there at least once that we saw. This appeared to be related to the neighborhood, not just one set of annoying guests. There is a motel that runs alongside the parking lot, which was rundown (washer on sidewalk, trash lying around, etc). Not sure if that's a part of this hotel, but I'd be afraid to stay there. At 4am, someone knocked normally on the door across the hall, and it was so loud I got up to see if it was a knock at our door. You could hear the ding of the elevator in the room with the door shut as well, and we were several doors down from the elevator. The front desk staff were quiet but seemed nice. Upon checkout, the man who processed my checkout didn't ask anything about my stay- I suspect they didn't really want feedback. Overall, this hotel felt unsafe. We only planned to stay one night, but I would find another place rather than stay here again. Do not recommend staying here as a family or single woman. Pay a few dollars more and...
