I really had high hopes for this hotel but a few things just fell short for me. First, it’s a super nice place. The lobby is GORGEOUS! The rest of the hotel is about a 2-3 and could use some updating (which I think they may be doing). The location is fantastic and close to everything. The real winner here is the housecleaning crew - they were fantastic! I was here 7-8 days and my room was cleaned daily and it was sqeeky clean!! The negatives for me were the biggest reason I only gave 2⭐️ Customer service at the front desk was non-engaging. No smiles. No good morning. IF they even looked up as you’re walking by it was just a glance and then back down. Very weird. It wasn’t just 1 person - everyone I encountered was like that. Now, let’s talk about the hotel doors. Why is there a 1” gap under each door?? Anyone could put a mirror under there or worse, a simple close hanger can be used to pull the handle down. Every night I stayed I moved my luggage in front of the door to block out the light and to make sure no one could look under. Again, weird! Lastly, and probably my biggest pet peeve at hotels is the parking. Why do these hotels allow big trucks to take up 8-10 spaces? I had to park on the other side of the restaurant and walk across the parking lot at midnight to get into the hotel and you look around and all these 18-wheelers are taking up 20-30 parking spaces..?? Can they not make THEM park in front of the restaurant? By the last night there I was completely over it with their parking situation. I did have an issue once while staying when some teens were right outside my door laughing (very loudly) and chatting. I called the front desk around 11p to see if they could have them move elsewhere. It took them about an hour to address it but the kids finally walked off around midnight and then came back laughing around 12:30 but it didn’t last more than a few minutes that time. I do think if someone reports loud activity in a hallway at 11pm then the staff should address it relatively quickly as many people are traveling and there on business. It would’ve been nice to not be awake until midnight. I’m also wondering if the gap under the doors makes excessive noise easier to hear. Overall, it’s a nice hotel but it could’ve been a much better visit with more attentive/caring staff and addressing their parking issues.

First off, Irish the employee I reserved through, lied. I asked if they had a restaurant bar for a few beer and a steak dinner and he said yes they did. It's completely gutted. Secondly my room smelled of mold. It didn't feel clean. Thirdly there was no HA walk in shower even though this was an HA room. ??? There was nothing they could do because I had made the reservation a hundred miles up the road and it was nonrefundable. ??? After driving 540 miles that day I couldn't go any further and needed to eat and sleep. One last thing. I paid for breakfast for 2, again thinking there was a restaurant. We (♿️) had to exit the building, walk through the parking lot in the dark CLEAR AROUND THE FAR SIDE OF THE BUILDING past 5 men smoking disgusting cigarettes and the exhaled smoke went in our faces! GHASTLY!! Then we found a doorway and a sign that said breakfast. Jesus take the wheel. Partly through the demo'd bar area we were lead by signs to an area that had cold, not homemade food. The seating area was near two doors one of which slammed every time the unhappy food girl went through it. Eleven times while I was sitting right near it. The drinking glasses she served us milk and orange juice in were in a blue plastic crate full of holes, on the filthy floor. This place is like the twilight zone. As the highest rated GOOGLE reviewer in the country, with over 394,000,000 views of where I go, what I do, where I eat, where I recreate, where I stay etc, I am appalled at this place. SHAME ON YOU, and the way the man and woman at the front desk treated me this morning. Despite everything, I was kind to everyone and even tipped the miserable breakfast girl, nobody else there did. I didn't do anything wrong. Oh also I got a picture of some homeless derelicts touching my 75K car in your parking lot!!! I included it as well. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU

We stayed here with our son's soccer team for a tournament we had in town. The staff was friendly. The room and hotel as a whole was clean. We had no problems getting more towels or extra pillows. The bed was very firm but we didn't have an issue with it. The ice machine was out of order on our floor but I was able to go up to the next floor and get some, not a big deal. The room did have full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, and lotion which was nice. The breakfast was average, some items were ok and some were not. The buffet had eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, and french toast.. The Red Hat Society was having a get together the same weekend so the lobby was pretty crowded the whole time but it didn't create any huge issues for us. It was actually fun seeing all of their outfits. Location is good. Right near the highway and there is a Long John Silver's/ A&W in the parking lot. The website does not mention microwaves or mini fridges in the rooms or if there is free breakfast. I called to ask and was told that not all the rooms had microwaves and fridges (specifically the type we had reserved did not) and breakfast was not free. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to see we did indeed have both a microwave and a fridge. The reservation also came with breakfast vouchers for the buffet. Our coach reserved the rooms so I am not sure if it was an additional charge for breakfast or if it was a special because our whole team was staying. I would call and ask.

I will start by saying the room itself was average, the bathroom was very clean and if I were reviewing my experience based on those elements alone it would be a decent hotel. However, all of the Holiday Inns I have stayed in have had breakfast included plus coffee any time. Here coffee was only available until 10am, wasn't good and there was no breakfast. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel so there is breakfast there for a fee.

The main thing that made our experience here so terrible was an incident that within itself is outside of the hotel's control but their response to it is unacceptable. Sometime during the night of our stay, a vehicle entered the hotel parking lot going the wrong way, striking our rental vehicle and another guest vehicle as well as striking an exterior column near the entrance of the hotel. We were not notified of the incident, my husband discovered it the next day upon checking out when approaching the vehicle. We then find out from hotel staff that although there should be a camera facing directly toward where we were parked capturing the whole incident, they had recently been taken down, being changed out/ taken down by painters. This is a serious failure and compromise of safety for guests of this facility and their property in this hotel. Another guest made staff aware earlier in the morning as their vehicle had also sustained damage and an overnight employee was aware but no attempt was made to notify us. Vehicle information is collected upon check in so they could have if they had tried. We were still 6 hours from home and by not being aware until we were ready to leave entirely changed the trajectory of our day including not being able to return the rental vehicle by the deadline costing us an additional day. Just beware when booking that hit and runs are apparently common in this area of town. A quick facebook search of Rock Rd Wichita will show this. Hopefully this will help someone else unfamiliar with the area as we were when booking. Not...
