Overall a good place to shop for vintage Movies, Games, Collectibles, Comics, Etc. They also sell new stuff as well. I will point out a few things I have notice. They do take your personal movies, games, Collectibles, etc as well but beware they will not give you a good deal, they will offer cash or In-Store Credit (tad more). I would recommend if your not in a rush, to try to sell your stuff on facebook market place first or other platform before Vintage stock. I have noticed on some Brand new Trading Cards that come out, they would raise the prices up due to high demand to make more money like Pokemon Hidden Fates. Booster Boxes for Cards are on the high side as well usually $140. They do have specials sometimes on single cards where you can buy 1 and get 1 free. They also do this on other products as well. Staff is usually friendly and easy to work with. Not gonna lie I am really annoyed about their coupon program. When you check out they always ask for a phone number if you want coupons. They already have me in the system and they actually do not send you that many coupons. They ask you this everytime you check out, which is understandable they want to capture everyones phone numbers. This is mainly used to get your phone number so they can text you upcoming sales or deals mainly. see Pic attached. I once bought a wrong item at the Vintage Store in Kansas City. You are able to return your item to a different store if you have your receipt which is pretty cool. Definitely better than gamestop for the most part. Vintage stock offers as well Anime, Manga, Comics, Pop Figures, Game Boards, Vintage Gaming Consoles, Figures, Toys, DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Blu-ray, Music CD, Collectibles, Sports Cards, Magic the Gathering, Pokemon Cards, and a lot more.
Edit March 13th, 2021 - Dropped 1 star due to store taking advantage of high prices. selling PS5 for $1,000 dollars, selling pokemon cards for $8 pack (double the price). Also they had 1 Shiny Fates V Crobat box and selling it way over retail price. Super...
Read moreBe careful buying from them. Compare every price to online stores. If it doesn't have a list price printed on the item, you're probably getting screwed. If you think you're getting a good deal on a game, CD, record, collectible or DVD, it's almost certainly defective or missing parts. I got a great deal on a high-end action figure. The reason? It was missing the stand, something essential for the figure. New movies, shows and games are overpriced by anywhere between $5 and $50. Brand-new TVs shows that are sold on Amazon for $25 can cost up to sixty dollars. Be careful selling to them. They'll give you five dollars for something they'll sell for ten or twenty times that. The staff is occasionally okay but usually snotty and rude when they have to do something that requires more effort than scanning a barcode, or have to answer a question that may require looking at something. About the only thing worth buying here is books, but only if you're okay with them being mangled by stickers. All in all, not a good place to shop. You're better off going to GameStop for games, Barnes and Noble for books, a dedicated collectible shop for collectibles, a comic book shop for comics, and the internet for just about anything else. You'll get better service, better products, and...
Read moreThe store is well...the selection is awesome. But that doesn't matter because everything else is bottom tier. The employees don't even belong in a video game store. They are as stale as old cereal. Their trade value is a joke. They will buy for less at ripoff value and sell for a ripoff more. We're talking about a switch lite new in box selling $50 more than retail. An Xbox 360 for $150 plus, a 3DS for $200. It's insane. This is the last time I'm coming here though. The environment of it is so mediocre. Not even to mention I organized my cards for them to easily look up values. They gave me it all back in a horrible mess. I brought in a bunch of cards, shoe box full of singles, no bulk, all rares and so fourth, had a card in there worth $250 alone, a Charizard mind you, they offered me less than the value of it alone. This place is a joke, they are no different than that one...
