We went for a late lunch for Mother’s Day today so that I didn’t have to cook and sat on the dining side. BIG mistake. It took our server 7 minutes to even greet us and were greeted with “what are you drinking”. No how are you guys? No my name is _. Nada. Asked for a drink menu and it took another 5 minutes to get. Meanwhile she had walked passed our table 3 times and SHE WASNT EVEN THE ONE TO BRING THE DRINK MENU. Waited another 5 minutes for her to come back after receiving the drink menu. After we had finally ordered our drinks and food we got our appetizer BEFORE we had drinks. And it took so long for her to get our drinks (10 minutes) that I had to personally go to the bar to grab our drinks and my kids still didn’t have their drinks at that time. We asked for a new server who came by once when our table was originally transferred to her and that the only time she came by for our entire meal. Thankfully our food was good. However my daughters food didn’t come out with ours and it appeared as though had been forgotten to be rang in because the food runner didn’t know what she even was supposed to have. Needless to say the service was complete garbage. The bartender was great and the server in the bar area was also super kind like he always is. We typically have him as our server and sit on the bar side but they were busy. Oh and the manager NEVER came by. 10/10 do not recommend the dining side. As for the bar side we have always had great service prior! We definitely won’t be going back for...
Read moreI've been to Old Chicago multiple times, but its total utility for me is diminishing. For starters they do not serve Shock Top beer which was a complete let down.
Second they no longer serve Shrimp Alfredo or Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo. Instead they have a "Build your own spaghetti" and you can choose to add chicken and the type of sauce. The chicken is an extra $1.99 which should come with the dish. When I received the dish it was hot on the outside and cold in the middle. So that tells me that its not made in house, and that they either stick it in an oven or microwave it. It also has so much Parmesan that it felt like is all I was tasting instead of the sauce.
My Wife who came with me ordered a "Meat Me" Calzone and specifically asked for no Hot sauce. When she was served the Calzone we could both tell there was Louisiana hot sauce in it. We asked our waiter to take it back in which he had no problem in doing and she instead asked for what I was eating. She is a huge Parmesan fan so she had no complaints.
We could also tell that her Pepsi was diet Pepsi and we didn't order a Diet Pepsi. The waiter took off half of her dish, half of my Samuel Adams beer, for compensation.
As of 12/02/2016 Their pizza, build your own pizzas, salads, and appetizers are great. We recently returned to Old Chicago and enjoyed our visit much more than our last. The food was much better than before and we even had dessert. Our waiter was very on top of service and attentative. We will...
Read moreI live in Oklahoma where there are no Old Chicagos. So when I came to town to visit my sister I specifically asked to go to Old Chicago so I could drink an overpriced beer with my FAVORITE pizza. Our waiter (Adam) took our order without writing it down and I slowly drank my beer waiting for my pizza. When our order arrived two of the three pizzas were the wrong kind. I was extremly hungry and tired but I’m an understanding person. I patiently sat and watched my sister and her fiancée eat their food (my future brother in law decided to eat his incorrect order). By the time my pizza arrived they had finished eating and I had finished my beer so I was ready to leave. I boxed up my pizza and I was chill about the whole evening until I received the check. They had charged me full price for the pizza that was now sitting in a to go box for me to eat at home. I made a comment to Adam, expressing my frustration of paying full price for a pizza I would be eating cold at home. He apologized but made no effort to correct the issue. My future brother in law had to go get the manager. The manager removed the pizza from my bill which was appreciated but we shouldn’t have had to ask. Then when I was finally able to eat the pizza it wasn’t very good. I guess I no longer have to worry about cravings for Old Chicago pizza, tonight has ruined it for me. Please work on the basics: make good pizza and take care of...
