I came in during my lunch hour. I couldn't find ANYONE. I eventually had to hunt down a lady that was older with long hair. She was pushing a ladder. I politely asked her if she worked there. She stopped pushing the ladder and said OBVIOUSLY I WORK HERE. I asked her about the clearance section. I said I keep finding things in the section marked clearance that is not marked down. So is does that mean they are not on clearance? She said yes if they don’t have a red sticker and a red label they are not. They changed the way they do things and everything is just thrown the clearance section it has to have a sticker and a line through the bar code to be clearance. This makes it ENTIRELY TO MUCH WORK FOR CUSTOMER. Not to mention it’s in an isle that has CLEARENCE marked all up and down it. I had to pick up each individual item just to see if they are on clearance. Some items I wanted to look at but could find no assistance to pick them up. I am 7 months pregnant I shouldn’t be lifting heavy objects. I wanted several items that were in the section marked clearance and they were still fully priced. I do not like how they are setting up the clearance section. If you go ANY OTHER RETAIL OUTLET THEY HAVE A DESIGNATED CLEARENCE SECTION. It was poor customer service. No one greeted me and all the employee’s seemed to care about is the task that was right in front of them instead of providing good customer service. I go to the check out. Keep in mind I am on my lunch. I am the 3rd person standing there waiting to be checked out. There is a lady up front ringing people out and another just focused on re-tapping a rug to go back on the sales floor. I asked her if she could check people out. She ignored me, so I walked directly in front of her and said. Ma’me Are you able to check people out. She said yes I’ll be right there. By this time there were 2 other customers behind me waiting to be checked out as well. I then asked her if there way AYTHING on the receipt that I could say something about the lack of customer service I had received. Her answer was I don’t know. I then asked who the store manger was and was told that he was on vacation. She did offer me to speak with the assistant store manager. I told her I didn’t have time I would call later because I was on lunch and to get back to work. She did apologize for the lack of customer service; she was one that didn’t really provide service which was part of my frustration. Over all just a lack of customer service. Read moreNormally I like the At Home store. Today I used the curbside pick up option because I had my infant daughter in the car with me napping. The check in is easy enough, just tell them your car info and where you’re parked, then submit and it says someone will be right out. I parked directly in front of the store. After about 10 minutes I called the store and when it gave me the option to speak with someone I got nothing. So I hung up and refreshed the check in page and did it again. Waited another 10 minutes and tried calling again. No answer again, didn’t even ring, just silence when pressing the option to speak to someone. I called about 5 times and nothing. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting I started to get out of my vehicle to go find someone inside. When I did someone called me back and said they were with a customer. When I said I’ve been waiting for curbside they asked for my info like they had no clue someone was waiting. FINALLY someone brought my order out to me. They were polite and courteous but my patience had been worn thin by then. They clearly need a better system, maybe some dedicated stalls and phone line for pickups. But today I had the WORST customer service that I have ever received. The woman at the check out was so incredibly rude-I thrive in awkward situations and this made me want to leave everything on the counter and not go back. I am pretty sure her name was Phelicia and she got upset that I had questions regarding the price of a few items, when I found out how their clearance worked, I decided not to purchase those items….apparently that was the end of the world for her. The disgust and genuine hate that filled her face made me feel so uncomfortable. I picked something up without a tag and the sigh and attitude she then had to get a price check was the most inconvenient scenario that could’ve played out for her day.
I pride myself on positivity, respect and manners. I do NOT leave negative reviews, but I would absolutely hate for someone else to go through this, especially if they didn’t have the thick skin that I have!
