Starbucks — Restaurant in Wilkes-Barre Township

Went through the drive-thru & it was quite a long wait (Considering I don't like coffee) My daughter, Giannajo, wanted to try "The Pink Drink" (She NEVER ASKS to go to places like this so I thought why not) Well.... After sitting in the line for 15min. (Inside was pure chaos) we finally order.... She was so excited & it made me feel good to see how giddy she was!! Unfortunately, that didn't last long!! I paid for our order ($26.78) & pulled over to the Walmart lot to get her stuff ready, UGH!! The drinks were supposed to be strawberry 🍓 ummm, We couldn't taste strawberry in either drink, I could see the disappointment, so I said let's try a cake pop, big mistake!! I let her choose the flavors, b-day cake & cookies & cream. As soon as the poor kid bit into the b-day cake pop I saw "the look"....The cake definitely didn't pass the toothpick test, it was practically raw!! So trying to keep my composure I told her to try the cookies & cream, that was it!! I felt so terrible because the kid was looking forward to it.....We ended up going to McDonalds for a vanilla soft serve!! While were eating our ice cream I told her how bad I felt & that she can think of something for next weekend.... She says, no big deal Momma we still had an adventure, TOGETHER!! What a kid!! Such a beautiful soul with a heart of solid...

When I'm realistic about it, this is no worse than any other Starbucks - They're all dumps. Take a look around next time you're in any Starbucks. Employees look abused. Customers look annoyed. Tables and floors are filthy. Wait time is 20 minutes. The coffee is only average. This store is a perfect example of what to expect.

Seriously, what's the difference if the post office served artificially flavored pumpkin spice lattes, painted their stores green and black, and wore green aprons?

Been here for over 20 minutes for two coffees. Still waiting. Management stinks. All the mobile orders are stacking up and the drive through is fast. But I ordered at register so I wait.

Maybe it's because I only left a $0.50 tip for something that should take 30 seconds to make? I figured that's okay at about $60 an hour? But I guess I'm being punished because the sticker with my order hasn't moved with all the others? Who knows?

So anyway, If you're looking for the standard Starbucks experience, please don't let my one-star review slow you down. You won't be...

I'm not sure what the heck the management/franchise owner of this store is thinking. The music is extremely loud and extremely annoying/inappropriate. The food case near the counter is infested with insects. Food which is apparently served to customers. They've also apparently removed the bathroom signs so you can't tell if you're about to accidentally walk into the women's room when you're a man.

I came here for a quiet coffee and to work on my laptop. Instead I got the noise of a club and the filth of a shady bar. Advice to management? Stop hiring people because they're minorities and start hiring qualified people who actually know how to run a retail store. The staff was equal parts diverse and blatantly incompetent. The diversity hire manager was blissfully unaware that her food case was full of insects. Incompetent AND unqualified, unaware of obvious health code violations.
