Location only about 5 minutes from Busch Gardens Williamsburg which is why we choose to stay here. The actual room was a typical motel room, although I was please to see that along with the two beds it also had a pull out couch bed so we didn't have to use our cot for our family of 5. The room didn't smell clean or dirty but we did find some pretty nasty towels we had to go to the front desk to exchange. They very nicely replaced them but they were out of extra blankets for the kids. The bathroom had an insanely noisy fan that was awful and the bathroom was super tiny but only being here two days it wasn't an issue. I'd rather have a bigger room than a bigger bathroom anyways. They have coffee in the room although I'm not sure if you get charged extra if you use it. TV worked, has a fridge, and microwave. Went for the "continental breakfast" which was your choice from a few juices, coffee, or tea. The only food offering was packaged cinnamon buns. I was hoping for a little more variety like maybe some cereal, yogurt, maybe even a Nutri Grain Bar. The had a fridge that had labels like butter, milk, and yogurt so I assume their offerings at one point weren't nearly so meager. The person at the desk when I asked if there was anything besides the cinnamon buns he had the audacity to tell me I could get something from wawa or a local breakfast place. That kinda defeats the purpose of "free continental breakfast". There was a cute little breakfast nook where I drank my tea and left. The older gentleman at the front desk was a very lovely person but not very helpful. The second morning there was nothing offered to eat at all and they were out of tea bags. They also never pull the chairs off the tables in the eating area, you have to do it when you come in. Honestly how hard is it the pull the chairs down before "breakfast" is supposed to start. Please stop telling people you provide breakfast it's an insult. We came in October so the pool area was closed. The laundry room was super gross so I decided not to do any laundry since it didn't look very well kept I figured the machines probably wouldn't be worth the money if they didn't work well. Overall the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I didn't see any bugs in my room and because it's close to Busch Gardens.

The cleaning lady Balinda is sweet as can be. If the weekly rate wasn't so low I wouldn't have taken it. I just moved to VA and still working out living arrangements. My primary work is not too far from here and its a really nice neighborhood. My main issues are these, I watched people come and go over the last 7 nights and they don't change the top comforter. Put your blankets balled up on the floor when you leave anywhere, it forces them to wash and press. brought my own blankets and pillows which will be bleached tomorrow after check out. The washer and dryer are trash. The ice machine (near me anyways) doesn't work. Vending machines are dumb priced there is a 7eleven on the corner fam. Just drive or take a nice 5 minute walk. The bistro before the fabric and upholstery shops, has beautiful koi out front. With all the empty rooms in this motel they keep putting people right next to me. Unruly people at that. I work long hours. I have three jobs at the moment and when I get here I just want to shower and sleep. There is mold in the mini fridge I didn't use it but once to keep my food cold for a few hours before I left to work where I store my food. Bugs of all kind love to play and because the windows don't open your stuck with a) the risk of opening your door and letting nature in or b) sitting in a stuffy room. I bought CLR and soaked the shower head and sprocket because they were so calcium laced it was disgusting. Hopefully it will allow me to upload images. Weekly renters are not allowed to use the pool, eat the free breakfast, and many other ridiculous rules. The white gentleman up front allowed me to use the pool once he was very sweet about it. Seriously if money is not a factor and you can spend $10-15 more a night head to Page, make a right and you'll have lots of options, there is also a travel lodge if you turn right after the dealership and follow that road. Make a right at the first stop sign and there is more lodging. There are too many choices to spend your money here. Its filthy, run down, and not worth the $350 i spent.

When I arrived to check in I was told the king room I reserved weeks ago wasn't available and I would be getting a double room instead. I explained that I wasn't happy with that and then was told that the double room was an upgrade. I pointed out that two smaller beds didn't make an upgrade from the larger bed I had reserved. The man at the desk said that was all he had. I said I guess I'll have to take it but that I would be complaining. He then told me that he wouldn't be letting me stay at the hotel then. That's extortion - and I pointed that out. He then offered me a room with two queen beds - still not the room that I had reserved, and certainly not the double room that he said was my only option - so that was a lie. Lies, and extortion so far from the place. Once I get the room (#118) it was very poor shape. Large pieces of tape holding the bathroom fixtures together, piles of some mystery white powder in the corner, and bugs in the room (I have pictures). I stayed overnight since it was late when I checked in and had nowhere else to go. When I checked out I told the person at the desk what had happened at check-in, and he just nodded. Nothing was said, no apology, no explanation, nothing. I can't believe this is normal for a Wyndham hotel. This place is terrible. I will never stay there again and I warn anyone else to stay away so you can avoid the extortion attempt, the veiled threats, and the straight up lies.

(PLEASE READ) My husband and I decided to drive up to Williamsburg VA from NC just for the day and night. We choose this motel because it was Labor Day weekend and most of the ones we usually stay in were all booked up because of the holiday. So we decided it’s just one night and the pictures that they show online made the place look clean. For us it does not have to be fancy but it does need to smell good and it has to be CLEAN. It took us like 10 minutes to find the room because they had all the numbers mixed up on the doors. When we finally found the room we went into the room and were hit by the stale smell. It took us a few minutes to see that we didn't even want to take our shoes off. I was about to check for bed bugs before we realized this was not the place for us. The white pillows cases were yellow looking and the towels and wash clothes did not look white they were dingy looking. It was also so many holes in the comforter you could play golf on it. The place just didn't look clean or smell clean. The lamp shades had dust on them they also had electrical tape holding the lamp cord together (scary), the TV was old and the color was dark. The bathroom shower looked like it had not been cleaned as you could see soap scum from the people who used it prior to us. We just couldn't do it. We got our stuff and went back to the front to see about getting some NOT all of our money back as we understood that they held the room for us. The man up front with the strong accent told us we had to come up front with in 15 minutes of checking in to get our money back. So we DID NOT stay and they gave us NOTHING back. We will never return again. I should have had a clue that this was not the place for us when I called and talked to a few rude people who need customer service training when I was trying to hold the room. Please DO NOT be fooled by the pictures online because this is not what you are going to get. We had to drive all the way back home because all the hotels/motels we called where booked for the night. I would never recommend this place unless your homeless its better than sleeping...

My husband called to book a room. The phone was answered with a curt, "what do you want?" When he tried to explain we wanted to double check the pet policy, she said, "Well, you're calling at a bad time. I've got people I'm checking in."

We didn't have much choice to go somewhere else as all the other pet friendly hotels were full. He hung up and called their national number. Checked on the policy, was assured our 4lb dog was welcome and we wouldn't be called if he barked, something we've been burned on before, so we booked.

We get here and we have to sign a paper that we will never leave our dog unattended. At a hotel next to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, and Colonial Williamsburg. Or they'd fine us and kennel him. We were hours away from home and on our last chance to use the package of tickets we had purchased, so we again had little choice. We called HQ, they called the desk and we were given permission to leave our pup unattended if we created him. Our plans were a few hours at one park, come back to eat and a few at the other park, so we agreed.

The room is ok. Worn down though . The beds were fine, the pull out couch mattress was nearly flat and pretty stained. The towels were so tiny they were soaked just drying off. We were too nervous to call the front desk's surly attention to us and ask for more so we just spread them out and hoped for the best. Same for dealing with the broken coffee maker.

Most hotels have updated and added alarm clocks with USB chargers. I don't think anything beyond the paint has been updated since the Bush administration. The first one. Usually if we stay in a room with coarse mustard yellow blankets and polyester coverlets, the atmosphere is made up by friendly interactions with the staff. We'll go out of our way to make sure they know we appreciate their work. After the first few negative encounters we just stayed away, afraid our welcome as already worn out.

I give two stars rather than one because sadly I've stayed at more run down facilities. At least it seems that the staff tries to maintain the facilities...
