A nice breakfast spot. It exceeded my expectations in a few areas that I feel deserve recognition. The staff are WONDERFUL. No one was short, snippy or unfriendly. The service was delivered with a smile and it was very welcoming. The food was solid. The biscuits were WAY above average! The omelet was perfect. My potatoes were slightly under cooked and the coffee was just OK. The fact that they are a BREAKFAST place with a GLUTEN FREE menu is one of the main reasons we visited. This is a very rare find! Unfortunately, the kitchen made a mistake (which happens of course) but could have been a disaster had the person who was ordering had Celiac Disease instead of just severe gluten intolerance. We let our waitress know that my husband was gluten free and we asked that the biscuit included in his meal be put aside on a separate plate for me. When his meal came to the table the biscuit was on top of his potatoes. We have confidence that had we brought it to the attention of the server she would have remedied the situation, but my husband was super hungry and didn't want to be embarrassed or wait for another meal. He chose to not eat that portion. It is slightly concerning however that the meal got past the kitchen and the server with an allergy cross contamination. Especially when more than one meal on the table was gluten free! The kitchen did very well with my Mom's gluten free waffle. There was clearly a toothpick in it marking it as...

I'm surrounded by pancake houses so I decided to give this one a try this morning. It's a pretty solid breakfast place if you're looking for your traditional American breakfast. I was seated quickly And the server came over in a reasonable amount of time. I started off with coffee and I appreciate places that leave the carafe at the table because I'm definitely gonna make a dent in it and don't have to worry about flagging down a server for a refill. I ordered the 2 eggs and bacon with with cheesy grits and a biscuit and wasn't disappointed. I actually appreciate a place that doesn't salt their grits so then I can season them to my taste. The scrambled eggs were perfect. I'm really picky about my eggs and I absolutely hate when they're overcooked or there's even a speck of brown on them. Place is a little outdated and some of the booths could use some love but none of that detracted from my food experience. I wouldn't say this would be a go to breakfast breakfast place but I would recommend to people that were staying...

I've been here several times, and the food and service is always good, but for whatever reason the waitress I had on today was bordering on rude. There were not many people dining today, but I was told I could sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth in the back because all of the booths in the front were full. I waited to be served for what seemed like at least 15 minutes. The waitress came finally, and did not give her name or any type of greeting that one would expect. I gave her my order, and she never acknowledged my request or indicated that she heard what I said. She didn't return to the table to see if I needed anything, or if everything was ok once she brought the food to the table. She returned to the table with a carryout box and the bill, and finally asked if I needed a carry coffee or water. Honestly, if I was having a bad day, she didn't help. Perhaps she was having a bad day. I certainly hope she'll have a better day so that she is able to better communicate with...

This seems to be a staple in the Williamsburg area. One large open dining room with your classic country/colonial style decor. One thing I found off-putting, was being seated at the table right next to the women's bathroom. If the dining area is full they shouldn't seat anyone there. Each time someone entered or exited you could hear whatever was going on in there. I lasted about 5 mins then asked if I could sit elsewhere. The server was very apologetic and was happy to move me. The menu offers all the classic breakfast options. I opted for the pancake which was the size of the plate and very light and fluffy, very tasty. Coffee is strong, and if you're a big coffee drinker it's nice cause they leave the carafe. Eggs were good and cooked perfectly as over medium. The potatoes could have been cooked longer though.

Attempted to call to place order but they were not taking orders via phone call. Arrived and many tables were occupied and some were vacant. The young lady cashier told me that she cannot take her order, so this older gentleman told me that he has to take someone else's order first and then he would take my order. Several minutes later, I paid the young lady for my breakfast order. 30 minutes after arriving, the gentleman brought my food in bags. The food was good, everyone enjoyed the food. 4 years prior, my review was Breakfast, service and other staff are amazing! My sister in law and my brothers love the breakfast here, so had to give it a try. Yolanda was our server, she is really nice! Also, the next day, we ordered breakfast to go and Yolanda coincidentally took care of our carryout order. Thank you Yolanda!
