Cypress Creek Coffee House — Restaurant in Wimberley

Before I explain my 2 star review, I will say that I'm going to give this place the benefit of a doubt and visit again sometime because I didn't try their coffee and it had a nice and welcoming atmosphere, but my first experience here was not good. It was just my mom and I in the coffee shop and one person working. We ordered two smoothies. They took a very long time to make for some reason, and they were not good, considering how much time she spent on them and how much they cost. Also, she added milk to both smoothies but milk wasn't included in the list of ingredients (and I usually don't think milk goes in smoothies). It's fine because my mom and I are both milk drinkers, but I'm concerned for those who may be lactose intolerant and are unaware that milk is in the smoothies. I would kindly request that either milk gets added to the list of ingredients on the smoothie menu so that people know, or the recipe for the smoothies is changed to be worth $6. They were not good. First impression, this place is very cute and has many options for customizing your coffee or tea. I ordered a chai latte for myself and a couple of coldbrews for my husband and dad. They both loved their coldbrews and my chai latte was on pointe! But what really makes this place stand out to me is the amazing customer service and care. It had rained right before we arrived and they made sure to wipe down an outside table before we sat down. They also brought our drinks to our table and gave us a complimentary raspberry crumble because we had to wait for them to wipe down the chairs and table! Did not expect that at all, but it was so good I came back to get another one the next day! Then when I came back they were almost sold out of the crumbles and because the last one left was just a tad broken they offered me an extra pastry for free. I was totally fine with my crumbly raspberry crumble but appreciated their concern and amazing customer service. I'll admit I'm new to Wimberley but I can't imagine finding a more friendly and tasty...

The service was absolutely horrible. The young blonde girl taking the order was not paying attention (kept turning around to talk and giggle with the other girls making the coffees), and continued to get our order wrong multiple times. We ended up paying $45 with 20% tip included for 5 coffees. We went back to let them know that the coffee had been made wrong and they proceeded to make it wrong again. All three iced coffees were made horrible. We took the coffees back (did not ask for a refund or for them to remake them, just wanted to let them know) and rather than apologizing they all started laughing in a very disrespectful way. We will not be coming back. My family and I love supporting small businesses but this left a very bitter taste...
