The bed is comfy. Some of the staff are beyond friendly. Some are haughty and loud. There was a stain on the chair and the floor. Whatever was on the floor was still wet. I've stayed at this hotel since it's opening a few yrs ago and it has never been like this. We use this hotel on a regular basis for Missionaries, friends and family. Perhaps they are understaffed. Perhaps it is a logistics problem. There was no coffee for the rooms except decaf. Other hotels in the area are already offering hot breakfast... this one states it on the website, and through the reservation dept...but a muffin and juice are the only menu. Time and space limit my ability to state every unfortunate change that has occurred in this once perfectly-run hotel. I know it can be better. We have a vested interest in seeing this hotel succeed as it is an asset to a thriving business district only blocks from our home. I would love to have given them the opportunity to receive this constructive criticism privately. Unfortunately the website kept booting me out. And when I called the IHG customer service it placed me in an awkward situation with the (hotel's) front desk. They literally had the front desk call my room and apologize for the misunderstanding 10 min prior. In my opinion it belittled them and felt juvenile! "You two kids kiss and make up..." That doesn't cut it. Please stop doing this. Talk to both sides separately, and make a decision as to whether any further concerns need to be addressed. This is a beautiful hotel. It just needs the right employees that care about it's future. Employment in the service field is difficult. You have difficult and demanding people, and difficult and unforseen circumstances... And I understand it is tough sometimes to find friendly people who enjoy serving others. Especially when they have to deal with complaining day in and day out. I truly tried to stay polite and understanding... But I hit my limit and cancelled my two week stay. Please make every attempt to keep this a nice, friendly place to kick back. Thanks for listening to my rant.

I called to get a reservation today and the woman transfers me without letting me know I was being transferred, so I was surprised to find myself on hold then on the phone with the corporate office. We get here after setting the reservation -where I specifically stress I want a room with a tub not just a shower- and they change my room over 2 times because everytime I go into these room to check there is no tub just the shower and they still cannot find me a room with a tub (I didn't think that would be complicated). I'm still at the front desk waiting for the correct room that I asked for during reservation. That's after waiting over 25 minutes in line to check-in even despite 2 other employees coming out to the front they just told us to wait and went off to the back - they could have assisted us- We could hear them in the back talking and laughing while one employee was working awhile with another customer. I am still up here at the front desk trying to get a refund. They won't give me a refund or cancel the reservation. They can't figure out which rooms have tubs or showers. The other employees that could help I guess are having some awesome fun meeting in the back at 10:35pm October 27, 2019. Customer service definitely gets a 0 from me especially since it's been a long day of driving and we wanted to relax before work in the morning, but instead we have to deal with nearly 1 hour of their poor level conflict resolution and customer service skills. 11:04pm and we just got a room with a tub. We arrived here at 10:01pm.

For the most part, the hotel stayed true to the website descriptions so I will leave those out and focus on things you can't see from the hotel website. 1. The room is spacious as pictured on the website; however, it's not extremely clean (sticky table, microwave, etc.). 2. If you are a light sleeper, ask for rooms with odd number! We have a room with even number and it faces the train track that has very loud trains passing by late at night and first thing in the morning (See first picture. Tracks are behind In-N-Out on the other side of highway). 3. Not sure why the door is designed this way (see pictures 2 and 3). The wide gaps allows all the light and sound from the hallway so you hear every single noise from housekeeping, rowdy kids, and I mean everything. 4. We've used reward points for the first two nights and paid the 3rd night. Under the rewards restrictions, the room has to be booked one night at a time. Front desk clerk was nice enough to keep us in the same room but it's a hassle to have to explain to housekeeping that we are not checking out yet. Overall, it was okay. The location is convenient next to In-N-Out Berger if you are a fan and across the street from Starbucks, Taco Cabana, and gas station. It looks like an industrial area though. The past couple times we've stayed along I-10 & 410 close to UTSA area which looked a lot nicer! Something to consider.

My family did some research where to stay for our vacation (July 3-7) and the reviews led me to here. Unfortunately we had a trip from hell. As soon we checked in around 6pm, we went up to the room and we noticed the toilet did not flush. So we tried to call downstairs and to my surprise the phone wasn’t working. So, I used my cell phone to call and spoke with Denise. Denise was trying to help as much as she could, but she is not the manager. She advised us that my family would have to use the bathroom in the lobby until the next morning(mind you I have a 4yr old and a 12yr old). Now in between the conversation she did try herself to fix the toilet but she was unable to, she also told us that we would be compensated for the huge inconvenience of no toilet. So the next day the maintenance man was able to fix the toilet and we were thankful. Upon going downstairs to speak with the manager Jaclyn she advised me that we were NOT getting any compensation because we booked our hotel stay through another company. Smh I had to laugh at her because I could not believe how ridiculous this was. As the days progressed more and more things happened and I was just totally tired of the mess after paying over $400 to stay at this place. The next morning they ran out of breakfast. Knowing that this hotel was sold out for the 4th of July they should have been aware that they needed extra of everything. Someone dropped the ball and did not do their job well. The young lady Trinitra was smiling and doing her best to deal with the unhappy people, but the other young lady Marshay should be given more training on being a team player and communication. Everyone who stayed prior to 4th of July where not happy because they ran out of breakfast, plates, and food. Whoever is running this place should have had someone run out to Walmart to get whatever they needed to accommodate the guests. Anyways then every night upon returning our key would not open the outside doors so we had to have our key redone and the line was always long due to other customers going through the same thing. The last straw was when we left the whole day on Friday and wanted our room clean because we had been in the room since Wednesday. We got back at almost 11pm and our key didn’t work again and our room was not clean. The next day they sent Ms. Evelyn to clean our room and she was great. I just wanted to write everything so people could understand that this vacation drained me for all the inconveniences my family had to go through. This place needs to work on their staff period. The room was spacious, beds where amazing and the bathroom was a great size. My husband contacted corporate over a week ago and nobody has gotten back to him yet. I will continue to post my review and will call them back myself because they should not be able to drop the ball when so many people had a unpleasant stay that...

From the beginning I knew my stay here would be excellent. From the lobby, the greeting by staff, the refreshing & beautifully displayed flavored water, my favorite was a Cucumber/(?) Bay leaf or Mint... not sure but it was tasty! and seeing the cleanliness, the general order of the entry way etc ..., the professionalism exhibited by reception to the comfort of the beds, the aesthetics; toiletries (All Dove products (Shamp/Cond, Hand/Body wash & Hand/Body Lotion) Blowdryer in a bag, their amenities such as Keurig/Coffee/Tea maker, Iron/Board, Safe, Enclosed Clothes Closet with Wooden Hangers, a cushioned seating area extending from closet to the desk with 3 hooks for hanging your belongings, a Chaise lounge situated in the corner with stylish hanging light extending from corner & hanging above with multiple lighting levels, a desk with stylish lamp & chair...very modernistic flair. y room options was a King Room...didn't ask for a suite but this may have been one. Payment being on average about $130/night...DEF worth the price! NO BUGS to deal with. No smoky smells lingering (occasional 'skunk' smell but SO WHAT??!!? Put some Dove Lotion on your upper lip if it bothers you lol or Enjoy a heated CLEAN FLUFFY WHITE TOWEL mini DIY sauna.... The possibilities are endless!!! Chill & watch a movie on the large HD TV with great selections. Wall self control AC by the bed controls the room AC located by your window, which has two shades one blackout one slightly see thru. Then in the morning enjoy a great HOT BREAKFAST with healthy options such as Turkey sausage, FRESH fruits, Chobani yogurts, various milks, Scrambled eggs, cheese or vegetable omelettes, bacon, gravy, pancake maker, breads, pastries, juices, coffee, well....you can't go wrong here. (selection changes daily but each day was very nice.) They also have a very clean swimming pool, workout room, computers with printing options also available. A stylish sleek seating area with TV to enjoy also while perhaps you do laundry in one, or both of their 2 washers & dryers. I HIGHLY recommend this Holiday Inn. HIGHLY. I extended my stay, in total, 6 nights & left SO refreshed. Upon check-in I was signed up for their rewards program so I'm very close to a free night already! They also have a small selection of beverages & frozen meals available behind the counter, but there are SEVERAL eateries close by: Taco Cabana, In & Out, Whataburger & a 7-11 are right next door. A fee of 2.99 nightly for parking is assessed, but it's worth it because parking area is well-lit so safe. Situated very close to the interstate & not a far drive to the airport or Interstate 410/IH-10 Interchange, its location is quite prime. Kudos to their kitchen staff, maintenance and EVERYONE in reception. So gracious they all were! Thank you, Windcrest Holiday Inn & Suites for a wonderful & memorable...

First off I would like to say that I was recommended to stay at this hotel by Morgans Wonderland, They had a discount because we were visiting the Theme Park. This is a park for special needs children, that being said the hotel was not special needs children friendly. The A/C never cooled the room below 70 degrees and constantly leaked and the carpet stayed soaked below the unit, we had two children in this room. Brought it to the attention of personnel and was told it's hot outside, the temp isn't going to get any lower. They came twice to stop the leak and check it, second time the maintenance man did not turn the unit back on and it took almost an hour for the attendant to get it back on. Meanwhile my family, including 2 kids were in a room with temps reaching 75. We thought they would clean the room daily, when they didn't I was told I had to schedule a cleaning, well that scheduled cleaning didn't happen. when they did clean the room on the 3rd day of our stay no clean towels or toilet paper was supplied. We entered the room on our initial stay with a half roll of toilet paper and no back up. Second day of stay I approached the cleaning lady in our hall with our soiled towels and asked if I could exchange them for clean towels.. she said no, to bring them down stairs.. I brought them downstairs and was told they weren't suppose to handle dirty towels. Now on to the phone/noise issue. We were on the second floor with the lobby underneath us and the elevator immediately to our left. One night we were called directly into our room and told our kids were making too much noise., we had just arrived back to the hotel after being gone all day and the kids had bathed and were in bed within 30 minutes of arrival, it was very late and they were tired.. Next night (9pm) we got another call about our kids noise.. informed them they were in bed and we were watching tv, that they weren't making noise, when i went downstairs directly after to get toilet paper I asked the front desk what the problem was with the complaint and told them the kids were in bed, then she said it was the TV. I was not aware we had a curfew on watching TV in the room we paid for. Now mind you every time i called downstairs to complain about the A/C the front desk hung up and when i asked they said my phone wasn't working. but miraculously it worked when they called in the room ... on our return home we stayed at Holday Inn express in Houston and it was everything we expected and appreciated...
