Worst experience, we decided to come a day early for a trip to the dells because bad weather winter storm maya had started so it took us a lot longer to arrive we ended up checking in at 10:30pm ran got some things from walmart real quick. And then entered hotel well 10 mins pass kids are in bed tv is on and I recieve a call apparently we were being to loud but only noise was someone from my party in the bathroom throwing up from being car sick!! Okay.. we became extra extremely quiet one night ok so we got up the next morning for breakfast we were the only ones at breakfast and it was like we were aliens the whole time the staff kept staring and coming in to see what we were eating maybe thought we were going to eat it all! Or to much because its free idk. So needless to say we eventually just took are breakfast to our room to finish eating in peace. No they were not checking the food for refills! So at about 9:30 am because of how much it snowed I went out to my car to clean it off and dig it out because they plowed us in the parking spots wish I would of took pictures! So after I got my car moved etc went in to get kids dressed and etc. About 10:15 I wanted to start loading car, low and behold the same staff was in hallway they had finished cleaning the room next to ours and was waiting, for?? check out is 11am it is maybe 10:15 the cart is park right outside my door and staff is just standing there when i come out staring watching me go move my car to the door every time i came out the room to take a bag to car they were at my door, I felt like I was being stalked to hurry and leave!! So got everyone ready and we left it's unprofessional and freaking werid to stand outside of guest rooms and watch people. So we hurried and left!! I was freaked out and uncomfortable so were my kids! So by 10:40 the latest we were gone and of course because they were still standing there regardless of my comments of how rude or werid it was I did not go back and do a last sweep of the room for my belongings, now my 4 yr olds tablet is MIA (missing) We went 5 mins down road to our resort and discovered it was gone I called and to no avail its not there so it apparently grew legs and walked away or maybe.... never again rude, nasty, scary staff idk why would u stare and a mother with...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. Upon arrival Econo Lodge assigned a room to me that was cheaper than the room I booked with no refund on the difference amount. The hotel was not kept at a cleanliness standard of the rate I paid and the shower did not drain leaving me standing in my own filthy water. My son had to wait until the water drained and speed shower to get out before the water rose too high in the tub. Terrible accommodations, terrible service from Expedia. I checked out the next day and still have not received my refund the other 4 nights. Why is Expedia waiting on Econo Lodge to respond on my refund? Why were the funds released to Econo Lodge before the stay was competed? Why as a customer am I dealing with such a hardship to receive money back for a non delivery of service? Will I need to obtain legal counsel against Expedia and Econo Lodge? As an educator and single parent my funds are not expendable, and Expedia or Econo Lodge are not providing satisfactory service. I may need to turn to social media and share my story to help others avoid the headaches. I may need to utilize legal counsel to obtain my refund and I should not have to go that route. Avoid this Econo Lodge, avoid Expedia for your financial sake and your health. I wish I would of taken more photos but I was just trying to get out of there. Go to the Avid, it is a wonderful hotel and pet friendly. We felt comfortable and safe after leaving the Econo Lodge and choosing Avid. Don't let that beautiful picture of the pool fool you, that is NOT what it looks like in person and the smell of chlorine is overwhelming! We all know that chlorine has no smell unless there is bacteria or urine in the water. Stay away pleeeeaaassseeee. Econo Lodge do not respond to this review with "please contact us with your concerns". I have been trying to contact you and so has Expedia to get my refund for the multiple nights I did not...
Read moreWe booked this stay as it is one of the few dog friendly stays in the Dells. This is probably the worst Choice Hotels location we’ve ever stayed at. The girl at the front desk was very friendly but it went downhill from there. We went to our room and it was hot as heck, smelled musty/like smoke and definitely not up to the cleanliness standards we’re used to. The bathroom looked like someone just used it as the shower was all wet, the inside of the garbage bag was wet, there was a smudge on the tub (sort of hidden by a supposedly clean towel?) and a stray you know what hair on the edge of the tub..Above the sink there was a fruit roll up box that was flattened and stuck behind one of the lights? Not sure if that was supposed to be a fix for something (the light didn’t work) or if it was unnoticed in cleaning? Very weird. The fridge had some mold in it. We came to discover after a few hours that the reason it was so hot in our room was because the window was left open… This was a little unnerving being on the first floor and also annoying as it was 90+ degrees in July and the rest of our stay was hot and sticky even with the air conditioner at full blast. We were not told about breakfast at check-in but knew it was supposed to be a perk from booking. It was very minimal. None of the employees wear uniforms so I was very confused to see some random woman, who was eating with her (I assume) husband and kid, go and start to fill things and go in the kitchen? Everything seemed to be run down - there is a pool outside filled with dirt and a broken fence around it. The inside pool does not look like it’s been updated since the 80s. You have to walk through the pool to get to one whole side of the hotel which was confusing and slightly annoying. This place needs to be remodeled and run better before I would stay...
