This is a relatively new Shake Shack in this area. I have to put forward and admit that I'm not the most avid Shake Shack person, I like Five Guys more. But I'll try to be fair in my review.
This branch is nicely spacious. It's broken in 3 main areas: 1) food ordering area, 2) main seating area, and outdoors seating area. The space of the food ordering area is the best I've seen for restaurants in this category. It's big and open yet very welcoming. It also has some bar seating. The main seating area is also spacious and open with booths, semi-booth, and table seating. The outdoor area is also big and nice, but was empty due to the cold weather. There are no wall but all windows, which gives it an amazing open and natural feel.
Now to the food. We ordered a single shakeburger, double shakeburger that was lettuce wrap, 10-piece chicken bites with side of BBQ sauce, fries, chocolate milkshake, and pomegranate yuzu lemonade. All was around $50.
The food was good and delicious. Again not my favorite but fairly good. In fact, it's among the best Shake Shack burgers I've had in this chain of restaurants. The same applies for fries... they were fresh and crispy on the outside but soft and hot on the inside. The yuzu in the lemonade was evident and I like that, but I think it was too sweet. The milkshake was perfectly mixed, but I would have liked it to be more chocolaty. Chicken bites (aka nuggets) were real and unprocessed chicken white meat. They were lightly coated with a crispy hot batter. I wasn't impressed, but I still they're worth it specially if your kids like chicken "nuggets" and you want to give them a better quality meat.
Overall I would recommend this place if you like Shake Shack, you like quality burger, and you like a kids-friendly place that is more or less...
Read moreMost times I don’t even waste my time and write reviews. I just normally make a conscious decision, not to never return back to certain businesses, but for some reason, I decided to go back to what is usually not normal for me and return back to a business that I should have, never done in the first place this particular manager, a young white blonde hair little girl who could be no more than 18 or 19 years old, had the nastiest attitude the way that she spoke to her staff was so disgusting she spoke to them as if they were underneath her please don’t get me wrong. I understand that sometimes when you’re under pressure, your voice may become a little bit escalated, but in her case, it seemed more like she was a slave master some of the staff members look old enough to be her parent, it was so disgusting to see how respectful and collected they remained as she spoke to them like dirt. My children were with me. They questioned her attitude when we left and all I can tell them was that some people are just nasty and disgusting, I believe this company needs to rethink who they put in charge and do a few better trainings that remind people that just because they’re above as a manager does not make it OK that they speak to everybody else like there beneath them just so disgusting. The taste in my mouth made the food taste even worse that young lady is very lucky that my nieces, who are about her age are not underneath her management because believe me they would definitely have...
Read moreTried summer favorites - Carolina BBQ burger and Classic Smoky BBQ burger, along with side of fries and a shake.
The fries were 5star - hot, fresh, crispy and salted well. The best part of meal.
The Smoky Classic BBQ Burger is American cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, pickles, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce. The bacon was burnt (black) & not a lot of flavor. Could not even taste any BBQ on it. The picture shows crispy crunchy fried onions -- there was no crunch & when lifting the bun, only a few soggy pieces were there.
The Carolina BBQ Burger with Fried Pickles is pepper jack cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, fried pickles, and a Carolina-style BBQ sauce. Good but needed more sauce.
The young lady delivering our food could use some pointers on food service, customer service and a spark more enthusiasm. She seemed as if her job was an inconvenience to do. She brought our tray and it was missing one of the burgers. Rather than leave the tray with the rest of the food and go back for the missing burger, to return on a different tray, she took the food back to get the missing burger and brought it all back. Isnt it a food safe thing that once food passes the counter, it can not go...
