The place itself is nice, well the remark "room contains original stone wall" was not true, maybe some rooms have it, but mine didn't.||BUT, and there's a big but, it's not a Hotel as you might imagine. There is literally nobody to help you, apart from midday, when the check out is done.||There is no reception, the doorbell isn't working, and the phone number, well nobody was answering our calls when we stood outside, because the door wouldn't open.||Yes, you get a code to get in, because there's nobody there to let you in.||So to my opinion the price (which wasn't low) which I paid, is not worth something that works like an Airbnb, therefore my rating.||And second, I have to admit, they got a really good marketing, I found the place not as nice as on the pics, at least my room...
Read moreThe hotel is a grand old building which has a good feel to it, but it is looking tired in places. The entrance is lovely with lots of space to relax. The open log fire in the breakfast room was a welcome sight with it being so cold during our stay. Breakfast was standard continental and tables were well presented. Our room was large and opened on to the reception area. The only windows were in the doors, but that wasn't an issue for us. Plenty of storage space, very clean and well heated. Wifi was very good in the room. Staff had little English, but we managed to get by. They were very pleasant and most helpful.
