I usually do not like to write negative reviews but this hotel/guest house is just terrible. I paid $101.50 cents for 2 nights for me value of this room is less than 25 dollars. I have no idea how this hotel/guest house got 9.0 and that was the reason I selected this hotel/guest house. The hotel name is not Old Town Samarkand instead "SAM OLD TOWN" see pic attached. Phone number written on the reservation email and at the hotel sign is not in service. Finding this hotel was so frustrating because there are at least 20 hotel/guest houses with the name old town in them.. This hotel/guest house is run by an old and rude lady. There is no reception person at any time the old lady speaks the following words. "Breakfast 9-10", pay in dollars, "key". She will give you 2 keys, one for the room and another one for the building to lock and unlock. Terrible Breakfast and she doesn't care about the time she gave you for the breakfast. She knocked on the window at 8:30 and said breakfast. You have no choice what you want as she already pre-prepared the breakfast for you. Cold fried egg as she already fried hours ago, no juice of any kind, no bread of any kind. If you want coffee, tea, water go make it yourself. Stay away from this hotel/guest house. Room was good and the bathroom was leaking, see pic.

It's a lovely little home-turned-hotel in the heart of Samarkand, a stone's throw from the Bibi Khanym mosque and the Siyob Bazaar. We loved our stay here, and the hosts were charming. Breakfast consisted of home-cooked meals and the atmosphere is very homely. It's family-friendly, extremely well-located, and the ladies who manage this place are lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

To bardziej pensjonat niż hotel. Doskonała lokalizacja przy szlaku najważniejszych atrakcji. Pokoje dziwne, jeden tylko z oknem na wewnętrzny korytarz, drugi z ogromnym oknem na korytarz, drugim na dziedziniec. Właścicielka wieczorem chodziła i gasiła część świateł w holu mimo, że siedzieliśmy. Jednego dnia nie było wody przez kilka godzin (wieczorem gdy wróciliśmy ze zwiedzania). Nie można było się umyć, ani skorzystać z toalety. Dostępna kawa rozpuszczalna i herbata. Śniadania liche i dziwne (jajko sadzone, łyżka tartych buraków, twarożku, fasola ) orzeszki, morwy lub morele i miska owsianki. Śniadania serwowane. Pani chciała wymusić płatności gotówką (dolary) zamiast kartą zgodnie z booking. com.

It's a lovely little home-turned-hotel in the heart of Samarkand, a stone's throw from the Bibi Khanym mosque and the Siyob Bazaar. We loved our stay here, and the hosts were charming. Breakfast consisted of home-cooked meals and the atmosphere is very homely. It's family-friendly, extremely well-located, and the ladies who manage this place are lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

This small family hotel is really good. The rooms are very spacious and clean for a decent price. Also there is a courtyard where you can sit during the day when it is really hot. Besides, there is free water, tea and coffee. The ladies running this place are very kind. One of the ladies brought us water melon, every time we were sitting in the courtyard! We stayed here twice and we really enjoyed both stays. Would stay here...
