I couldn’t think of a better choice than this hotel for Samarkand! The views are incredible, it feels like staying in a sort of Riad and being able to look up closely at the dome of the mosque is priceless!! I personally liked the breakfast, their savory options and yoghurt are incredible. They do have sweet options, unlike what another reviewer said. Once again, the views are fantastic. Room is ok, a bit old but quite functional and I slept very well. Used the Wi-Fi from the lobby because none in the room. Location is convenient, you can walk to pretty much any of the major attractions in Samarkand. The only thing to improve is service - the staff works hard but is not very communicative. I reached too early so I couldn’t check in and I told them if it was ok to reach in the evening… which it was but they forgot to tell me that the entrance I used was going to be locked!! And I wasn’t aware of the other door, nor did they tell me. Eventually they picked up the phone and let me in but I had a good 15 min of panicking… and the staff seemed more annoyed than understanding of the situation.

Spent three nights here after a two week trek in the Fann mountains. As soon as we arrived I knew I was going to love the place, and it didn't dissapoint. The main entrance is just of a main street which is closed to traffic so it's very peaceful, there is also a back entrance which also leads to a quiet ally just behind the Bibi Khanym Mosque. It's a small hotel so it's very peaceful and homely. The view is absolutely fantastic, it can't get much better and you feel that you are truly in a historic city. The restaurant is quite spacious and modern with a small bar, the windows are massive with a stunning view of the Mosque just like a postcard. The breakfast is buffet style with a great selection of savoury and sweet foods, our evening meals were a set menu for a group of 13, so I can't comment on the range of dishes available, but what we were served was of good quality and tasty. The rooms are in a rustic style, comfortable and pleasant with a modern bathroom and very clean. I certainly would be happy to stay there again if I ever returned.

The location of this hotel is amazing. You can see the Bibi-Khanym Mosque right out the front door. The hotel itself was basic, but very good. The Wifi is very poor in the rooms, but very acceptable in the lobby. The rooms were clean. The bathroom of the room I stayed in was very small, but we had no issues with hot water or anything. The breakfast was fantastic. Typical hotel breakfast but they had a great variety of choices. Plus the view from the restaurant was amazing. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Registan so it was great without a car. The service was great. The main owners spoke decent English, but other staff did not really. It wasn't a big deal. We were able to communicate via Whatsapp as well. The staff was also able to arrange a ride for me to Bukhara with short notice (although quite a bit more expensive). With the exception of poor wifi, I would definitely stay here again.

The main selling point of this hotel for us was the amazing view of one of Bibi Khanym’s domes from the atrium of the hotel grounds. The location of this hotel is also very good if you are trying to go to Registan Square (15 min walk down the main thoroughfare) and the Siyob Bazaar. If you are coming by Yandex, it will most likely drop you off in the alleyway behind the Bibi Khanym Mosque and next to Kafe Bobur and Siyob Bazaar. At the T intersection just turn right until you reach the end of the street and turn left and you cannot miss the hotel entrance. Quite easy to access actually with Google Maps deployed when you’re on the ground. ||||The hotel staff were extremely friendly (both restaurant and hotel staff). The restaurant staff always helped me out with my ice requests late at night and were pleasant to talk to for other things. The restaurant had an even better view of Bibi Khanym! The hotel staff (presumably the manager / caretaker / owner) was super friendly and hospitable. At the end of our stay he arranged takeaway breakfast boxes for our early morning train to Tashkent without us even asking!||||The rooms were quite nice, especially at the price point we paid for the room. Everything in the room (shower, electricity, bed, etc.) were in tip top shape with no signs of wear and tear anywhere. There was a small ant trail here and there, but nothing to be alarmed about as it was mostly confined to the bathroom and entrance. Our favorite part about the hotel were the outdoor seats and tables outside our room. My friend and I spent a good couple hours sitting in those chairs just admiring the turquoise dome in the Bibi Khanym complex. The location cannot be beat and I think it is the best hotel for that reason in Samarkand. ||||Overall we were extremely pleased with the hotel and its staff and would recommend this one to anyone looking for accommodations...

Our stay in Samarkand was made more remarkable with our stay at the Hotel Bibikhanum. We were able to arrange from them a transfer from the train station to the hotel, as we arrived early in the morning. As the hotel is located on a side street next to the Bibikhanum Mosque complex, we were able to use that as a landmark to get back to the hotel. The courtyard and the on-site Zargaron Restaurant give an amazing view of the Bibikhanum Mosque from the side, which made for an amazing backdrop for breakfast in the morning. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and sightsee in the morning while we waited for our room to be ready for check-in. Our room was located on the second floor, next to the restaurant, which had ambient noise in the morning and night but quieted down for bedtime. The room was large, with comfortable beds. Each bed had a double outlet next to the nightstand, which was convenient for charging our devices. The bathroom was also large and roomy, and the towel heater was welcome for the chilly nights. Breakfast was served in the Zargaran Restaurant starting at 7:30AM. A buffet spread of cold cuts, cheeses, crepes, an egg dish, breads, fruits, coffee and tea was abundant. Best of all was the view of the dome during breakfast. The hotel front desk was also able to help us arrange a car for a day trip to the Urgut Bazaar outside Samarkand and to Shahkrisabz for a reasonable price. The hotel is an easy walk to the Registan and most of the sites in the historical area, but a bit aways from the restaurants and nightlife in the New City. Ask the front desk to call you a regular cab to get there. Overall, this was a great hotel that made our stay in...

Unsafe environment due to shody electrical. Upon checking in I plugged the lamp into the wall, and the electrical outlet exploded blowing the cord apart, burning my hand, my eyebrows and the front of my hair. The staff were outside the door when it happened, and I immediately told them what happened. They didn't apologize. They didn't ask if I was OK. They did not offer to move me to another room. They did nothing about the situation except bring me a new lamp. ||The staff is unorganized. Despite confirming our bookings two weeks in advance, again confirming them seven day prior to arrival and again two hours before arrival, when we checked in the staff acted like we had no reservations and they knew nothing about our coming. After showing them the WhatsApp messages, including the quoted prices it took another hour before one of our three rooms were ready, and then we had to deal with the explosion of the lamp and socket. ||We booked a triple room, a double room and a single room. After we arrived the staff removed a bed from the single room and put the bed in the triple room.||We will not be staying here again and highly recommend, for safety reasons, others...
