Right on the east side of the Han River between the famous Dragon Bridge on the south and Han River Bridge to the north. It's very convenient as home base while in Danang.||To the north where Lady Buddha is by vehicle is less than half an hour. To Hoi An 45 minutes. To Hue about 2 hrs plus.||In town to the West side of Han River taxi is inexpensive to most places like Danang cathedral, Con market, Big C, Cham museum etc, Or south to Marble Mountain etc.||From beach on the east to Han River on the west all walkable distance.||Hotel is not any high end place, in fact I would call low end. And there's quite a few like that all along this river bank.||The best thing is location. You can just walk down and there's plenty of eateries, coffee houses, dessert places, street vendors. South towards Dragon Bridge there's a whole street of Hawker style or Dai Pai Dong low budget local eateries for the adventurous. The Love Bridge is practically in front. On a nice day or night, nice stroll along the river bank.||Further north about 15 minutes walk, nice modern mall with Vinmart supermarket inside upstairs.||Hotel staffs do speak some English and were courteous.||Room is basic but has good WiFi and AC which is critical especially during hot and humid summer.||Shower hot and cold temp needs improvement. Shower stall strangely has same level as bathroom floor which leads to water overflowing into bathroom floor. Bath towels are the cheap kinds, thin and not too absorbent.||Room is adequate in size but lacking drawers or hangars. Electric outlets are sufficient. No safe. Has small fridge. Relatively quiet on our floor. Bed fairly comfy.||Breakfast buffet came with our group tour on M floor was enjoyable and mostly Vietnamese style which I like. Dining room to the front look outside to Han River which was nice.||Overall it's a nice stay for this hotel...
Read moreThe man at reception is horrible to me. He scammed me and put his hands on me. It all started this morning when I said I wanted to come to Ba Na Hills. They said they can arrange a car for me. I said no it’s okay because I will use grab, the grab ride was 250,000 at discount because of the time of day. They assured me that it will be 250,000 dong which I agreed to because it’s the price grab is. When I took the ride, I was supposed to go straight to the destination, but they ended up pulling over to this very sketchy shop and I did not want to buy a ticket because it was more expensive than what it showed on the website. So I do not know what Kind of inside affiliation this hotel has with this rideshare service because then after the ride, they try to charge me 750,000 which is not what was agreed upon what was agreed was 250,000 each time. The receptionist at Kay hotel tried to drag my luggage and almost broke it and he even put his hands on me multiple times and I have recorded it. He has yelled at me and put his butt in my face which I recorded. I have asked to see the police and they refuse because they know that they are scamming me. This is not right at all. they even paid my grab driver to not take my ride, and I have proof that that was happening. I can take screenshots of my translation app that shows a history of the conversations, but this place cannot be trusted because they are constantly trying to scam you with the price and do not trust if they say that they have a rideshare service because they will tell you it’s agreed-upon one price and then later on they will...
Read moreGreat Hotel with Amazing Staff and Views!
The staff at the Kay Hotel are very welcoming and understanding! They truly provide the highest care you would desire as a tourist visiting Da Nang! They helped us out greatly and were very understanding of our situation. The minute you leave the taxi, you are greeted with warm smiles and help up the stairs!
The rooms were very clean and quite luxurious. The 9th floor had the best rooms and I would highly recommend them for your stay. They come with a great price tag compared to competitors in the area for the bridge views. The online pictures looked questionable but we entered, we were met with a surprise as they were better than expected. The rooms had great views of the dragon bridge and river! The rooms were very modern and some of the best we have stayed at in Vietnam. The close proximity of the river, dining restaurants and less than 10 minute drive to the beach made it well worthwhile.
Overall great time at the hotel, from the kind staff to the luxurious rooms. The Kay Hotel is highly recommended for any...
