KOVA Diamond Hotel — Hotel in Đà Nẵng

Beware!!! This hotel is scam. Avoid if you don’t want to ruin your vacation.

They listed this hotel as Gold Luxury Hotel on Agoda. When checking in, they informed us that the hotel name has been changed to Kova Diamond Hotel. They wanted us to cancel the original booking which we already paid and was no longer cancellable, and rebook the hotel which would have costed double the money. They wanted to get money for 2 hotel bookings. We contacted Agoda instead and Agoda booked us a room. However, the hotel insisted us to pay extra per night before we could check in since the hotel claimed the Superior room type Agoda booked is no longer available (which is doubtful since I checked in Agoda and Superior room type is still available for booking), and they had to upgrade to Deluxe and charge us a total of 450k Vietnamese Dong for this. I checked in Agoda the Deluxe room is only around 150k Vietnamese Dong more than Superior for our total stay. Agoda couldn’t do anything about this. They couldn’t scam us for 2 hotel bookings and trying to scam for fake room upgrade.

We had high hopes for the room, but ended up really disliking it.

The original tea kettle on the room had a broken wire and when my fiance plugged it in, it strongly shocked her. They gave us a replacement kettle, but it was extremely dirty and my fiance spent the next 15 minutes trying to clean it in the small sink. We had a two double bed room where one bed was almost against the windows and the gap between that window and bed was so filthy- full of hair and dirt. Only two of the four outlets in the room worked and the WiFi was also terrible- frequently disconnecting which is terrible for someone trying to get work done. Probably the biggest issue was the lock on the main door also being broken. We had trouble getting the door to properly lock every time we left the room. Overall, this room failed our expectations in every aspect. We would not consided it a luxury hotel.

We also weren't fans of breakfast ending by 9am. And as another reviewer mentioned, it would be nice for them to have some kind of shelf in the shower as there is no place to put any shower essentials.

I’m Flávia from Brasil, based in Adelaide, and I had the pleasure of spending almost a week at this amazing hotel. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly friendly and supportive, making me feel truly welcomed.

I stayed most of the days in the Executive Room (apto 1401), which was spotless, spacious, and offered a breathtaking ocean view. Later, they even upgraded me at a discounted rate to an even larger room (apto 1601), which made my stay even more special.

A heartfelt thank you to the manager, Duong, for going above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable, you are truly exceptional, and I hope our paths cross again one day. And to Thao, whose warm smile and kindness made me feel like royalty, you are like the Brazilian-Vietnamese version of myself, and I’ll always remember that.
