THINK TWICE before going to this hotel!! I gave them laundry to wash, iron and fold, and specifically asked from two different members of the reception staff to confirm that the laundry will be not only washed, but also ironed and folded. I even mimicked and showed them the movement of ironing to be sure they understood me well. They both confirmed this will be done as asked!
However, in the evening of our last night in Da Nang, we came back to the hotel very tired and just wanted to sleep and rest before our next day challenging trip to Ba Na Hills. It was then when the third member of the staff, from Saigon, mentioned that laundry was done. I paid and took the bags with me.
In the room I opened the bags. Not only that the laundry wasn't ironed, it wasn't even folded in a tidy way. Our laundry looked as if a cow chewed it and spit it out. I immediately returned to the reception carrying a piece of laundry as proof and I asked for a full refund. At that second the staff woman from Saigon began to behave very unfriendly and impolite towards me. She called her colleague by phone and allegedly that colleague said that I asked the laundry to be folded, not ironed, which was a BIG LIE!!!
After I insisted to get the full refund, the woman from Saigon tried to insult me by saying that "it's not big money for the hotel", and that "I shouldn't make a problem for such a small amount of money". I explained that the reason why I want the money back was not because of the amount, but because the agreed service was not provided by the hotel and they failed to deliver. I added that because of that, instead of sleeping, now I have to try to fold all my laundry personally, not to talk about ironing. I also mentioned that they did the wrong calculation and overcharged me and I carefully explained to her why the calculation was wrong. She was extremely angry, but she eventually gave me the full refund back when she saw that I wouldn't quit.
Another unfriendly situation happened to us when we already left the hotel and arrived to Ba Na Hills. Just before checking out, a reception staff man went to our room to make an inspection that everything was all right with the room and that is what he did and he confirmed that to me personally!!!
After his confirmation we booked a Grab ride and left. Two hours later we were already at Ba Na Hills and it was then when I received a WhatsApp message from the hotel in which they claimed that allegedly one TV remote control in our room was missing, which was of course NOT TRUE!!!
The attempt of the staff to try to take a laundry event revenge on us by claiming that we took a TV remote control with us is outrageous. I don't know if they tried to use such bad business tactics with other guests, but I've travelled to 70 different countries and never had had a similarly bad experience like I had in this so-called hotel.
Basically, the hotel didn't deliver the laundry service as promised, tried to trick me for the laundry costs and even accused me of taking the TV remote control from the room AFTER inspecting the room and confirming everything was okay with the room!!!
Just to mention that this is not the 1st very bad review this hotel has received from unsatisfied guests and instead of trying to apologize they continue to argue with all former guests in their review replies which only confirms their idiotic and stupid approach to problems and issues. In their review replies, they aggresively treat the guests who have any complaints whatsoever about their poor service and unacceptable attitude regarding any criticism or remarks. I am sure they will reply in the same manner to my review too, which will only back up my story, not to mention the phone screenshots.
For ALL these reasons, I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!! Just stay away from them, you have plenty of other accommodation...
Read moreI have been to Danang several times over the years and was so happy to stumble across this recently constructed gem! Large, tasteful, comfortable, apartment-style rooms with all necessary conveniences - fridge, washing machine, cooking and ironing facilities. I also loved the spacious balcony, overlooking the leafy side street. Don’t mistake this boutique hotel as budget accommodation- the value for money is extraordinary. The location in the My An district, is my favourite area of Danang. Within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, cafes, etc, whilst being nestled away from all of the noisier traffic areas. A special mention for the wonderful Thao, who was so helpful when I came in one night to check out the rooms. Thao’s infectious personality made the stay all the better, but thank you to also to the other staff whose names I did not catch. I...
Read moreI really liked the hotel and, moreover, the concept of Lagom (you can read about it in a book they provide you in the room). My room was spacious, simple and comfortable, besides, it’s really rare to have a bathtub in Vietnam. The only drawback is that construction is underway next to the hotel. Of course, it’s not their fault, but it’s not quite nice to wake up at 7 am to the sounds of construction while you’re on vacation. Perhaps the hotel should warn guests about noise before you check in, or provide them with earplugs to make everyone more comfortable. Overall, my experience was great except my early mornings. You also can rent a scooter in the hotel, and the hotel staff is...
