Nam Anh Motel — Hotel in Đà Nẵng

I stayed here for about half my time of 4 months. It was m home base. After a bit I could come and go and leave things I didn't require for safe keeping. In low season, I was even able to disappear for a few days at a time and leave most of my stuff in my locked room. When I returned, without my request, they actually only charged me for the days I slept there. Amazing. Family run. Owner and manager have a good foundation of conversational English. They are always hospitable, gracious, and accommodating. Very willing to help in big and small ways. They will help you with pretty every request imaginable. Heck once, they even drove me my MacBook computer charge cord when I left it behind. I was on a small trip away and they delivered it to me an hour away for s very small fee. Barely more than the cost of gas to deliver. Amazing. Even when I was having a bad day and moody, they surely suffered in complete silence with a smile on their face. It's also very clean. And everything functions very well. It's a new and modern building. And guess what, it's one if the quaint and smaller 5 floor hotels, with an elevator. Yes! It's a 3 minute walk to the beach and in the midst of everything imaginable. I could go on and on with the many favours they did for me, and the bargain I got for being a repeat and long term guest. I'm very well travelled, and I can be critical in reviews. But the bottom line is you won't be disappointed staying here. You just can't go wrong. They only thing I will say is if you want a big and separate shower stall, akin to the western and European style, you need to stay elsewhere I guess. And commonly, you will pay a bit more for that in Asia. The hot water is very good. And so is the water pressure. It's Asia, so the bathroom is a little bit cramped. But the toilet area is very spacious - which is often not the situation in Asia. Beds are strong ;) and the mattresses are a bit on the solid side of things - not plush And soft. But Asians prefer harder beds. They have found a mattress that surely does not displease their Asian cliental and yet remains satisfactory to Europeans and Westerners - not easy to do. And no - there is no breakfast. It's called outside the door, or Around the corner, or down the street. For 2 dollars you meet people while enjoying breakfast. And you get more variety. :) Price is very fair regardless. Simply put - just stay here....

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and we expect much with the little price we paid. The room was clean and the bedding spotless. Low end accommodation, motel like with minor repairs needed: tap drips, walls scuffed, windows don't quite close, shower hose but missing shower head. Staff are friendly with minimal English.
