Beware of major security issues at the hotel. Sadly, I had to change my rating to one star. I stayed 3 separate long stays during my 3 months trip (3 weeks, 10 days, and 5 days). During my first stay, the envelope with Vietnamese cash was gone from the safe. I thought I got confused and misplaced somewhere else. I was pretty certain it was in the safe. So, during my second stay, I placed my dollar cash envelope with 700 dollars in the safe when I checked in and never opened it until the day I checked out. And it was gone. Then I was certain someone with master-key took cash twice. There are too many staff members with safe master-key at the hotel, including cleaning staff. I reported the hotel, and they tried to help by reviewing security footage. Only people who entered my room while I was not there were cleaning staffs and they have master-key, which hotel confirmed. That was as far as they were willing to help and offered to call police if I wanted. But if you are a foreign tourist who can not speak the language, it is not a good idea to call Vietnames police. Check youtube or google it to know what I mean about Vietnamese police. I liked the hotel a lot and sad to leave this bad review. But if you do not feel safe in your room with your belongings, especially in locked safe, the hotel is not providing essential service for the guests. Security is one of the most important services the hotel must provide. There is one bad apple seed at the hotel. Stay at your own risk! Never place anything in the safe. And always watch out for your valuable while you stay here. Then you might would have great experience. I ended up changing to Legend Hotel next to it. Cost a couple more dollars per night, but cleaner and safer. Check my other hotel reviews.
Old original Review: The location is very convenient and 5+ minutes walk to the beach. The hotel looks renovated recently and the room is small but definitely good for 1 person, maybe 2 people. Furniture is not new but well maintained. For the price, it was better than expectation. The rooftop pool is small but good enough, and the gym is very basic. I recommend the street view windowed room. I stayed one week for agoda sale price, and they were willing to offer me the same price paying directly. Great front...
Read moreI stayed for 3 weeks. +Very friendly staff, beautiful and clean rooms, nice pool. +Sign "do not disturb" was available for guests who do not need cleaning each day. +Close to the sea.
At first they gave me room with strong bug repellent scent in the 4th floor. I tried to ventilate it, asked them to rewash floors, but scent remained strong. So strong that it made my head dull and nose hurt. I thought that it should disappear with time, but when I went to sleep, understood that I cannot sleep in such a smell. Asked to change rooms. They gave me room on the 3d floor. There water in toilet was not filling up, they fixed it next day.
-There were some loud noises before 6 AM in first 5 days. Maybe from kitchen below.
-Safes were unlocked and unusable in both rooms.
-Breakfast was very simple, more offers were in more busy days, but these days were veeery rarely. And on my last day in this hotel I went to restaurant for breakfast, but staff was cleaning everything and informed me that there will be no breakfast. I made a fuss and got breakfast, because no one has informed me before. And starting from October 1st this hotel is not offering breakfast anymore.
-There was one misunderstanding. I needed to check out on Sunday, but on Friday I bought one more night till Monday so I could book a scooter and drive to Hoi An on Saturday/Sunday. They forgot to register it and when I arrived on Saturday evening, they asked me where was I as I needed to check out. They were looking for me and was scared that I run away with scooter.
-One weekend room cleaners came at 8:30 AM, while I was still sleeping :D It was strange, as breakfast time is till 9:30 and it was weekend. Or some days they came straight after breakfast time, when it is usually bathroom time for people. Most day they came around 10:30. So I did not like that it was unpredictable when they will come.
-It is not up to hotel, but there were some loud guests who were stumping or jumping very loud or doing gymnastics in late evening for hours (bought earplugs to sleep) or loudly moving chairs upstairs till 1AM or shouting in hallways.
-Petite girl tried to help me with heavy bags, but otherwise I carried them up and down the stairs.
-Construction works started next to the hotel wall, building is...
Read moreThe hotel has recently been renovated. The walls have been painted bright white and electrical fittings have been renewed. The safe is very small and difficult to operate. The room is better than what I was expecting.
The kitchen was out of action so the lack of breakfast was a negative, but the price was reduced and breakfast shops in the area are plentiful. There are also a few convenience stores and a chemist beside the hotel. The beach is about 5 minute walk away, but we generally walked in the other direction.
The gym is just sufficient and the pool was too cold for my old body. It would be wonderful in summer, but cold water is my greatest nemesis.
The room can get a little dusty if the air-conditioning is run all night. We noticed a build up of white dust each morning. The air conditioner filter probably needs a clean. The rooms are cleaned everyday. If there are any problems reception is quick to resolve issues and are...
