After being in Vietnam for over a week and thinking that you couldnt miss when it came to food, I found this place. I meant to go to Mi Quang Ech a few doors down, but got it wrong and ended up here thinking it would be ok. I knew I was in trouble when soon after I ordered I heard the "ding" of a microwave and I received my food shortly after. I ordered the Me Quang Dac Biet with "3 kinds of meat" which it technically did have - 1 prawn, 1 piece of chicken and 1 spare rib but was mostly noodles. It was average at best, and the last flag was when one of the older ladies who worked there (chef I assume) came from up stairs with a finger in her ear as she did so. The menu boasts an exciting array of dishes, but the noodles with frog truly stole the show. The flavors were a delightful fusion of traditional Vietnamese cuisine with a creative twist. Read moreI love My Quang. It's very much my favorite Vietnamese dish. And with that being said, I was pretty excited to come here because of the places I've found in Da Nang, this place had some of the highest ratings.
The My Quang here is good. Not the best I've ever had, but it's good. My only real complaint is the portion size. I realize I'm American, and I tend to like larger portion sizes, but I've also lived in Vietnam since 2015 and even by vietnamese standards, the portion is small. The cost for 4 bites of noodles is more expensive than other places, but I understand that I am paying for air conditioning and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Which is very clean.
My wife and I have eaten here a few times and we'll definitely be back. But my recommendation is you buy 2 bowls. If you only get one, you'll be hungry...
