Khách sạn Hoàng Việt 2 — Hotel in Da Lat City

This was a lovely find. Located on Nguyen Chi Thanh Street in the centre of Dalat and close to the much more expensive Ngoc Lan Hotel, it is one of two hotels owned by the family in the same street. The other hotel is budget. ||||The building is fairly narrow so there is only one room on each of the five floors that faces out to the front. We had the room on the fourth floor (401) and I would say the front rooms are the best. Price paid was VND 400k; the other rooms VND 350k so very good value.||||The room was light and airy and very well proportioned with double bed, two chairs and table in an alcove in front of the window. There is TV in the room although we didn’t use it. Fridge also provided. Rooms look very new with marble floors in the bedroom, tiled floors in the bathroom. Bathroom has a shower attachment over the large corner bath.||||WIFI available in the room.||||No breakfast facilities here although there is are several cafés across the road.||||This was one of three hotels we looked at (there is a lot of choice) and in our opinion was certainly the best. Stayed in this hotel in November.Was happy enough with our stay,close to everything etc. Was visiting Dalat again so my wife rang and made a booking for the next day,yes,he could give us the same room #501, price would be $30, $10 more then last time as it was TET (everything goes up during TET) When we went to check in,not only had they let room 501 out,they then wanted $40 for the substitute room! BOOKED TWO front facing rooms and getting there at the appointed time were told only one front facing available, it no longer had A BATH instead a shower room and TWO double beds for this they charged 500,000 dong PLUS building site next door waking one at 5.30AM,in fairness the side facing room WAS very nice and cost 450,000. STAYED THE ONE NIGHT and then went round the corner to the LUXURY of the Mountain Town Hotel (New BUILD) and got a deal 800,000 dong room for 500,000 for the next four nights.||WILL go back to the Mountain Town but NEVER again to this one.||VERY...
