Em's House Homestay — Hotel in Hội An

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! We had the most wonderful stay here and cannot recommend this hotel enough! The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well equipped with both a bath and shower. There’s even an air purifier in the room, a full-size fridge that actually keeps drinks cold, and an alkaline water refill station downstairs, which we really appreciated. The hotel also has a lovely pool with towels provided, perfect for cooling and relaxing after exploring Hoi An.

What made our stay truly exceptional, though, was the staff. Every single person we met was so kind, caring, and genuinely helpful. They recommended fantastic local places to eat, shop, exchange money, and also suggested trusted private car services. A special mention to the bell boy 🥹 when we caught a taxi out the front and he felt the price wasn’t right, and stepped in, to negotiate on our behalf, and even refused to take a tip. Such kindness is rare and really touched us.

We’ve been travelling across Vietnam for 12 days, Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Ha Long Bay, Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An and this hotel has been by far our favourite in terms of both service and overall experience. We do A LOT of travel and have been on the road (my husband, 15-year-old son and I for 18 months straight) so I know what I'm saying when I advise you stay here!

Em's Homestay is a glorious oasis tucked into a pocket street off the excitement and bustle of Hoi An's treasured old town. Em is an A+ star hostess with endless support, advice and a screen award winning smile. To say she was helpful and knowledgeable it to do her a disservice. Mentioning we were looking for coffee led to her hopping on a motorbike to find the freshest cup in town and picking it up for us on her own dime. Asking about local tailoring, she whatsapped us directions to her best friend's place, calling her to ask for a favor on our behalf and lending us bikes to get there.

We fell in love with Hoi An BECAUSE of Em and her Homestay. She allowed us to see it from her eyes and her breathtaking balconies with views of the river. Em's and Viet's cool, clean, spacious rooms, unrivaled hospitality and quiet yet close to the action homestay will be our go to whenever we come back to Hoi An. We hope it is...

The stay was in excellent location with amazingly quiet room with no noise from outside; the best was the most outstanding service from extremely pleasant helpful and ready for any request staff ; ALL the staff including the owner were great! The location is across from the circle in a side street just next there are two restaurants were we had breakfast twice ; the stay has bike rental a pool and attached small cafe restaurant with standard menu right on the spot, you can rent a safe to your room if needed the room has standard coffee tea and large teapot, iron and hairdryer, flipflop for the bathroom use and ironing board in the common hallway. The window of our room was facing the front entrance with blooming tree and sunrise appearing on the right side; when shades and curtains pulled closed the room was perfectly dark for sleeping 🛌 the climate has its surprises… we had a little lizard rooming with us which was shy and wouldn’t come out too often The only downside was some ants that were coming in despite closed door...
