We tried their coffees in Hanoi and Danang and have always liked them. At this outlet within the Ancient Town, we went with gin & tonic, and the Blackcurrant & Pineapple Tea and sat outside to people-watch. Consistent, efficient and friendly service throughout - there were tourists who went in just to photograph themselves in the window without buying anything but the staff were patient and nice about it.

We were impressed that our drinks came with some free drinking snacks (which would have cost us SGD8++ back home haha!). The gin was strong, and the tea was shaked like a cocktail.

!Caution! - mosquitos ravaged our legs outside but you can always choose to sit inside or upstairs. The decor at their upstairs seating was beautiful - with vintage nostalgia fabric covered armchairs and documentary...

Beware of the iced drinks here. Have been in Vietnam for about two weeks and stumbled upon this cute place. Amazing atmosphere and my boyfriend had a delicious hot Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. With the various high Google reviews I thought I would be safe to get an iced drink. However, after drinking an iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, I had a terrible stomach ache all day. Definitely from this place since this was the first place we had stopped at. My stomach began to hurt almost as soon as we left. Wish I could give it a good rating but just wanted to warn others. I do not usually have a sensitive stomach or write many reviews but want others to be aware of this when they are visiting. Maybe I just had a bad ice batch but urging you...

First, the drinks are excellent and I miss it and I must have it when I'm in Vietnam. Trying it again, I can see why I felt this way the last time I tried it.

However, one thing I noticed (which is none of my business since I don't own the business), is that there are 6 staff standing around, and 1 person leisurely taking orders, while 2 more in the kitchen yawn. While service isn't particularly bad, it is when you consider that with so many free staff, things should move faster. The cafe is also noisy and most of the noise comes from the staff talking among themselves. It does affect the atmosphere at this particular outlet (though I've been to others and the staff-to-customer ratio is also...

This Vietnamese coffee "chain" can be found in most major cities in Vietnam but there's no big box feel here. The hip, photo-worthy decor always seems popular with the Vietnamese youth as well as visitors. The coconut ice cream with coffee poured over ("coconut coffee") is pretty darn amazing. Only down side is smoking is allowed inside since it's somewhat open-air. But we love to take friends here as a place to cool off when walking around Ancient Town. We've worked on the wifi here as well, when it's not as busy. P.S. If you're looking for more recommended places in Hoi An, we put together a guide and map of our favorites, just search “Intentional Travelers budget Hoi An” on Google.

Cộng Cà Phê is one of my favorite coffee chains in Vietnam. It beautifully preserves the authentic values of the country's history. The thoughtfully curated interiors always remind me of Kolkata’s vintage charm. The coffee is quite good and reasonably priced. The staff wear uniforms that evoke the spirit of a significant movement in Vietnam’s past, adding to the immersive atmosphere. If you sit by the window, you can enjoy a charming view of the river and watch the boats gently pass by. The name "Cộng" is inspired by “Cộng sản,” meaning “communism,” reflecting the café's nostalgic tribute to Vietnam’s historical era.
