Having stayed here as s solo traveller in 2016 I had a good idea what to expect. My stay was so pleasurable back then I changed my plans and stayed an extra couple of days.|I arranged to stay for 4 nights this trip, booking the large family room for me and my friend. Two large double beds, firm and very comfortable, with a large balcony onto the street. During the booking process the owner was so helpful due to my preferred room being booked for the night of the Lantern Festival. Our host offered to arrange transport from Da Nang train station as we where taking the overnight train from Hanoi. A lovely gesture which, after a 16 hour train journey was greatly appreciated.|The homestay itself is a few minutes walk to the centre of Hoi An. It is bright and airy with a welcoming feel. Gorgeous hard wood flooring with high ceilings. Our room was large and cool. Everything is as should be and spotless. Breakfast, fresh fruits, lovely strong coffee and I had an egg omelet and I’m set for the day. There are bicycles on hand and we cycled to the beach, taking the obligatory wrong turns and doubling the distance but that’s another story. Someone has messaged the price of laundering cloths and they felt it high. I have to disagree- I felt the price and service very fairly priced indeed.|I can not sing the praises of all the staff team and owner of Orchids Homestay high enough. During my vacation though Vietnam and Singapore Hoi An was my highlight and the homestay the panicle of accommodation on the trip. |Orchids Homestay provided me with the perfect base and I will be returning at some point in the future...
Read moreThe rooms are very large and nice. Best parts are the large comfortable bed, balcony, decent shower, fridge. Breakfast is very nice. Besides your order you'll receive ample fresh fruit and you can always order and extra drink. Free use of bicycles is great, this really came in handy. We rented a scooter through the hotel which was by probably the most expensive and worst scooter we rented so far. Also we asked about the local bus towards our next destination Quy Nhon, but we were advised to take a tourist bus for 15$ each because it would pick us up at the hotel, whereas the local bus leaves at the bus station which is 10km away. So we agreed on the quite expensive tourist bus, were picked up at the hotel and dropped off at the bus station to be herded into a local bus which should cost 140k VND. So we paid 9$ for a taxi ride to the bus...
Read moreMy husband and I have been traveling SEA for three months and this is one of the best places we have stayed. It's very affordable, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and they clean every day for you. It is in a great location and has all the amenities you need. Mini fridge, Excellent wifi and strong air conditioning. Laundry service on-site and tailor next door. Also very nice shower temp and pressure. We loved being a little outside the old City but never walked more than 10-15 min to get great food. The best part is the staff and the breakfast! Everyone is so kind and helpful and the woman who served us breakfast every morning said she would miss us on our last day! The breakfast is some of the best we have had. They make both Vietnamese and western standards very well. We just left and we miss...
